We arrived at 9:30 right as the park gates were opening for ERT. We flashed our Platinum Passes and got ourselves two rides on Diamondback. We went to check on The Beast, but it wasn't running. Me and my dad realized that we haven't ridden Invertago or Flight Deck yet this season, so we decided to head to Action Zone.

Action Zone was empty, obviously because everyone was sprinting towards Diamondback.

We got ourselves two rides on Invertago, and both were walk-on rides. Invertago was running about as well as it normally does. It's a little bumpy for my taste, but it's still fun for what it is. After Invertago we headed over to Flight Deck. In my opinion, Flight Deck is a good ride, and if it was only given a little more care it would be great. Unfortunately, suspended Arrow coasters seem to be reaching the end of their lives, which is quite a shame. We decided to finish out the Action Zone marathon with Delerium and Drop Tower. We tackled all of Action Zone (along with two rides on Invertago) in a little more than 40 minutes.

We walked on up to Coney Mall. Both of the other times I've visited this season the Blue Train on The Racer was running and the Red wasn't. This time it was just the opposite! The Red Train was running but the Blue wasn't. We rode in the front seat, and had quite a bit of fun on it. In my experience, the best seat on the ride is the front seat of the blue side, but the red side was fun, too. It was 11:00 now. The ride count was now at 8.

We walked up Coney Mall and rode The Vortex. This was our longest wait of the day, even though we only waited about 4 minutes. I decided to ride in 5:1, which I've heard is the best seat. I'm never sitting in any other seat on that ride again...

We saw that The Beast had begun running so we walked over to get a ride on it. This ride was in 3:3, which was a bit of a screw up. The Beast is my favorite woodie, but riding in any of the -:3 seats makes it a rough ride. The ride was fast, but far from smooth. It's a little depressing that I haven't had an impressive ride on The Beast yet this season. Next time I visit that's the first ride I'm running for, and I'm going for the front row.

We walked towards the car and decided to leave. We were both tired from the night before and decided to head out before the day got too hot. I'm not sure what time it was, but I'd assume it was around noon.

Diamondback - x2 (both near middle, not as good as front)

Invertago - x2

Flight Deck - x1

Drop Tower - x1

Delerium - x1

Red Racer - x1

Vortex - x1

Beast - x1

= 10 rides from 9:30 to Noon... good day. Anyday we want to hit Action Zone, we're going to it the first thing in the morning. The lines were nonexistent.

I was there this morning as well for the ERT on Diamondback. I left the park around 1, after riding DBack five times, The Beast three times, Backlot, Vortex, Flight of Fear, Racer, Delirium, Drop Tower and Invertigo.

One thing I noticed while riding Diamondback is that there is some new chain link fencing installed alongside the maintenance road that goes from White Water Canyon toward The Beast, by the turnaround for Diamondback.

The park seemed oddly empty today, considering how beautiful of a day it was. Maybe everyone headed off to Boomerang Bay, since that was open, but the ride side of Kings Island was pretty empty, as you noted.

I was there too, for the ERT. I love Sunday mornings, they always seem to be on the slow side, and my choice time of the week to go. 2 DB rides, one Beast ride, one Vortex and one Scrambler ride. I front seated all the coasters, bought a T-shirt and was still out of the park by 11:30 am.

I will say, when I left the park around 1pm, there was a HUGE line for either tickets or passes. I would tend to think it was for Gold Passes, as those are only on sale for about another week. The line for the tickets/passes was longer (in terms of people than Diamondback`s line was when I left!

They were real slow in the morning... I got there about 11:30a.m. and literally walked right on Diamondback and beast. By about 1 or so it was about normal busy. Honestly probably should of hit up Xbase first since those rides seem to be the hardest to ever ride.

^ Sadly enough we tried out the lines at X-Base, but the Flight of Fear line was about 30 minutes (usually is) and Firehawk was closed (usually is)

We would have waited for Flight of Fear, but how can you expect us to do that when all of the other lines are walk ons?
