Yeah me too. With Delirium being closed for about two weeks, I've also noticed that I have actually never rode Delirium at night before. Next time I go I'll try to.

Night rides are awesome... and don't worry about all the bugs flying around the floodlights; they always seem to get out of the way as the ride swings through.

I was at the park early this morning (July 22nd) and I rode Delirium for the first time. Everything seemed fine. It was a very smooth and fun ride.

30 minutes later I was walking back from Flight Deck and Delirium was in the middle of cycle and I heard a loud SNAP. I looked up and there was something falling from the ride. I didn't get a great look at it, but it kinda looked like a large piece of fabric the way it twisted as it fell. Almost immediately the full line waiting for it started flooding out of the entrance. Before the ride came to a stop the operator got on the intercom to announce that there was a temporary technical difficulty and to please be patient. I rushed over to see if I could see anything, and the ride was continuing to swing slightly without coming to a full stop. There were people pointing to the top of the ride saying "you can see it there", but I couldn't see anything and I eventually left without getting any real information.

For what it's worth, I think I saw a lot of smiling faces of people still on the ride, so I don't think it was anything that freaked out the people during the ride... Anyone else see this happen or have any more information?

Well that doesn't sound good. Maybe a worker left something up there.

I wish I were still there..but I have too many friends at the ride manufacturers, and have learned largely what I can expect from each manufacturer's rides. There IS a difference...just as there are differences, for example, between the average Toyota and the average Subaru...or the average Ford and the average Dodge....
