FOFreak
Holiday World has stated on thier Facebook page that the will begin talking about 2011 within this month. They also have stated that "the lack of hints may be a hint within itself." Let the games begin!
The Interpreter
Surely they will soon be stating something. Perhaps that Tim Burr guy will be rolling along....
FOFreak
God I can only hope! I would love to see that. Will I? I'm not exactly holding my breath. lol
IBEW_Sparky
I am thinking any announcement as to 2011 additions to the park will be made Sep 18th.
FOFreak
What could make you think that?
IndyGuy4KI
What could make you think that? There is a CoasterBuzz and GOCC event at the park that day! http://gocc.coasternewsnetwork.com/holidayworld2010draft.pdf
FOFreak
So I'm itching to hear your guys' opinions on this! What do you think they'll be getting this year? A coaster, a flat? Or maybe even nothing at all?
DaveStroem
Won't be nothing at all. They announced that they would be announcing in September the new attraction for 2011. When I spoke with Pat shortly after Will's death, she told me that the 2011 plans and budget were all done before he passed. She also said that there was no reason to deviate from the plan that Will and Dan had laid out.
Dbfan
I think it will be a medium to large flat ride. I still think its too early for a coaster and they added to the waterpark last year.
Beast1979
I think it will be a medium to large flat ride. I still think its too early for a coaster and they added to the waterpark last year. I don't see why, it was 5 years from Raven to Legend and 6 years from Legend to Voyage, it's been 5 years since Voyage so it could very well be one. That being said, I think it's a flat ride not because it's too early, but because of the lack of buzz around it. If it were a coaster, the entire Enthusiast community would be a stir. Coney Islander
Also, Wildebeest has been considered (by Holiday World) a coaster. I doubt they'll get another one too soon... Especially with the general 5 years between coaster additions. So I'm itching to hear your guys' opinions on this! What do you think they'll be getting this year? A coaster, a flat? Or maybe even nothing at all? Also see: http://www.KICentral...=1entry381191
jdawg1998
Whatever it is, I hope it will bring me back to Holiday World next year instead of Cedar Point. If it's a roller coaster, I will automatically with no hesitation drop my plans of Cedar Point and go back to Holiday World. That's how great the place is. Cody
Is that a joke? If it isn't, where did you get that picture from? No that wasn't a joke! Every Amusement Park should have its own Roller Coaster!
The Interpreter
Looks like a legendary coaster. Terp, who just HAD to
FOFreak
Does anyone else find the walk from the entance of the park to the end of Thanksgiving very long? Imagine if the expanded farther into the woods behind Voyage? That could be excrusiating. I honestly hope they expand farther into another section of the park than Thanksgiving. I know that its probably the easiest way to expand, but maybe not the most efficent. I think that there may be a way to expand out to Lake Rudolph from Halloween. Maybe taking out the dive show and putting in a path and building onward. I think it would be great i there was a way for Holiday World to get some rides along the lakeside. It may just may be me rambling random dreams of mine, but who knows. Maybe it could work.
Coney Islander
Or they could add some sort of park transportation system, just about eliminating the problem.
FOFreak
My hopes have officially been extinguished.. This was posted on Holiday Worlds Twitter about 2 hours ago. babytoolkit: @HolidayWorld Thanks for some great Labor Day weekend family time. Holidog's FunTown is the best idea for families with little kids! HolidayWorld: @babytoolkit In that case ... I think you'll *really* like what we're adding for 2011! :0) #HW
jdawg1998
Come on Holiday World! They have PLENTY of kids stuff. A huge fort, a kid's roller coaster, two water forts in the waterpark, numerous other waterslides, plenty of family rides, and the train. How about one more thrill?
Dbfan
Darn, maybe it could still be a small wooden coaster in Holidog's funtown...
ahank
Actually, I really believe a new kids attraction of some sort would be really good for Holiday World, especially for families with small children. Look at it; they're competing with Kings Island; home of one of the best (if not the best) kids areas in the nation, and Six Flags St. Louis; while they may not have one of the best areas in the world, they do have a much bigger kids' area than Holiday World does. Also, we have to remember that Holiday World appeals to families, not just thrill seekers. Honestly, when was the last time the little kids got something big? Colonel_SoB_fan
Honestly, when was the last time the little kids got something big? Did not know the little kids got big rides Im just messing with ya
The Interpreter
Maybe the big kids should get lots of little rides! Terp, fond rememberer of the "War on Lines" somewhere else...a place with not one, not two, not three, but FOUR kids' areas. and that still regularly loses the best kids area to the Showplace of the Midwest... Beast1979
Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Promised to start leaking a few details about 2011 today. For next year in Holiday World, we will replace one ride with a vaguely similar ride. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/HolidayWorld?v=wall&story_fbid=101955503201876

jdawg1998
I say replacing The Howler to make a kids coaster that doesn't make your head fly off on the first turn.
