thekidd33
Michigan's Adventure stated via their facebook page that they had a special visitor in the park today to help with their new addition for 2011. Hopefully its a new ride and a path connecting Shivering Timbers to Thunderhawk. Hard to imagine CF's only new coaster for 2011 going in at MA so I think this will either be a water park addition or a new flat.

CoastersRZ
So what Cedar Fair parks have not announced anything yet for 2011? Kings Dominion and California`s Great America? Carowinds- Snoopy`s Starlight Spectacular Michigan`s Adventure- Beach Party Dorney Park: Planet Snoopy Valleyfair: Planet Snoopy Worlds of Fun: Planet Snoopy & former Geauga Lake Carousel Cedar Point: WindSeeker Kings Island: WindSeeker Knott`s Berry Farm: WindSeeker Canada`s Wonderland: WindSeeker. And unless Kings Dominion gets a new coaster (unlikely since they got I305 this past year), or California`s Great America gets a coaster (also unlikely due to the ongoing 49ers stadium fiasco), then Cedar Fair will NOT be installing any new roller coasters in 2011! thekidd33
That hasn't happened since 1995. 1996: Mantis & Wild Thing 1997: Steel Force 1998: GhostRider & Mamba 1999: Woodstock Express (CP) & Mad Mouse (VF) 2000: Millennium Force, Woodstock Express & Wild Mouse (DP), Boomerang 2001: Talon 2002: Wicked Twister & Xcelerator 2003: Top Thrill Dragster & Steel Venom 2004: Silver Bullet & Spinning Dragons 2005: Hydra 2006: Patriot 2007: Renegade, Maverick, Firehawk 2008: Possessed, Dominator, Thunderhawk, Pony Express 2009: Diamondback, Carolina Cobra, Prowler 2010: Intimidator, Intimidator 305 2011: ???? I'm sure I missed a few in there too, but the point stands that this looks to be the end of a long run. Might not be overly surprising since the company stated it tried to cancel the Intimidator projects last year.

BoddaH1994
Apparently MIA had their best year ever last year. At the same time, park owners Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. announced that Michigan’s Adventure had a record year in attendance in 2010. The publicly held company that operates 11 amusement parks does not release specific park attendance statistics, but well more than 500,000 people visit Michigan’s Adventure each summer. http://www.mlive.com/news/muskegon/index.ssf/2010/11/michigans_adventure_to_add_new.html
thekidd33
I visited in late July on a rainy day and both the parking attendant and the lady in admissions made comments about how busy it had been this year. Good to hear that they are doing well it really is a nice little park. I believe CF stated during one of their recent conference calls that Carowinds also broke their seasonal attendance record this year. CoastersRZ
Yes, they did state that. However, Carowinds also had a multi-million dollar new ride this year as well. Michigan`s Adventure did not.
