December 18, 201015 yr According to HoliBlog, HW is getting Dippin' Dots next year. When we found out that we'll be adding Dippin' Dots to our menu for 2011, a cheer went up among the staff.Gotta love those pearls of frozen goodness. "Hey Jason -- can we hold a contest to choose one of the flavors?" Well, Foods Director Jason has always impressed me with his marketing chops (his pork chops are nothing to sneeze at either), he was game. Before we explain the contest, let's review the flavors that Jason has already chosen for next year. ... http://www.holidayworld.com/node/3485 Didn't they have Mini Melts (or whatever they're called) this past year? I liked them when I got them there in June.
December 18, 201015 yr When I read this post to my wife she said, "they are not getting rid of their good ice cream are they." I am hoping this is an addition to their great ice cream line up.
December 18, 201015 yr I'm sure the Holiday World's guests will enjoy some good ol' Dippin Dots and a few clues about a 'brand-new attraction' that nobody knows about yet.
December 18, 201015 yr Who wants dippin dots when you can get Thanksgiving Dinner? Man I wish there was A super Like for this Post.
December 18, 201015 yr It's about time that they joined the future of ice cream. Honestly though, I've never had dippin' dots myself. I still live in the past.
December 18, 201015 yr The reason for Dippin' Dots is simple....it's easier to serve a high volume of the things faster than it is with hard dipped ice cream. I honestly do not like the things...not even a little. I'm a frozen custard (REAL frozen custard...as in East Coast Original Frozen Custard or to some extent even Cedar Point) kind of guy...East Coast Original has big ties to Euclid Beach...how could anyone with a knowledge of park history not respect that? http://www.eastcoastcustard.com/history http://www.eastcoastcustard.com/history/searching
December 19, 201015 yr I seem to enjoy dip n dots more then there old ice cream dots. Good decision jason
December 19, 201015 yr Will they be getting the KI Dippin' Dots guy as well? Just had to! I think this will be good for HW.
December 20, 201015 yr The reason for Dippin' Dots is simple....it's easier to serve a high volume of the things faster than it is with hard dipped ice cream. December 24, 201015 yr And, for those of us who can't make 8-hour-round-trip custard runs, there's Culver's (which is just plain good no matter what you get - I only wish there were more of them around here).
December 24, 201015 yr For some of us, Culver's is a custard run nearly as far! Still, Culver's is good stuff, but can't hold a candle to even the frozen custard served at Cedar Point (I just hope they don't 'improve' that like they did the pizza!).
