homestar92
I have a real easy question. I'm a first time pass buyer, and I was curious how long I can expect to wait in line to process my Gold pass on a day which the park is open. I ask because I want to go to the park my first saturday home from school, but I don't want to drive from Fairfield two days in a row unless I can expect really bad lines. Typically, if there are a lot of people there, the lines will be longer.
Flat Freak
I have a season pass question that I think I know the answer to...but I'd rather not get there on opening day, wait in line, get to the turnstile, and learn the hard way... We bought gold passes back in October and went directly into the processing center then (we were upgrading from our regular passes last year). I don't think they took new pictures but they did scan our old passes to bring up the information. Are our passes "processed?" Or do we need to do something before opening day? The Interpreter
They are supposed to be processed. You shouldn't need to do anything else before opening day. Then again, mine was supposed to have been, too....You can always call the park and ask. Have your pass and barcode on the back handy... CedarPointer
If you renewed at the park, you used your old pass when you were renewing, and your home park (in this case Kings Island) is the first park you're using it at then it will be processed. Pillsberry123
Unless you come Opening day, the lines won't be that bad. Last year I came on Sunday, the weekend AFTER opening day, and I was one of only 3 other people getting their pass processed.
The Interpreter
During the middle of opening day at KD, I was the fourth person in line to get my (now new) KD Platinum Pass processed....just after 2....
Captain Picard
Line will be long because of some people getting their checks on Friday I think.

The Interpreter
Well, last fall I renewed my KI Platinum Pass online, expressing some fear here at the time that it would not work properly. Little did I know I would end up processing in Doswell, Virginia in order to get a Platinum Pass that actually works... I would be remiss if I did not again thank Joe and Doris at KD. They handled the entire matter professionally, courteously and cheerfully.
