TombRaiderFTW
^ They're really gone. They showed up at Kings Dominion a few years ago.

jlopez
I read somewhere a while back that they did in fact ship them somewhere else and another park is using them. I will have to see if I can find it.
The Interpreter
Or...you could just read the post two above yours, which is accurate.
Beastie1980
I hope they don't take it down because my daughter just started riding coasters this year and Flight Deck is one of her favorites.
Dalefan
^Not sure how you're looking in the complete darkness while doing inversions at 54 mph, but a few seasons back the trains were sitting in the parking lot and the park explained that they were being shipped to another park for spare parts. It takes longer to read this thread and shake your head than it does to ride Flight Deck. I seen them while on a tour of the building one year. I still have pics of it. Gordon Bombay
^I have a picture I took last year of Laynce Nix signing autographs at Great American Ballpark, it doesn't mean he's still with the Reds.
Dalefan
I didn't say they were still in the building. Lol. I just said i have pics of them.
teenageninja
I really doubt that after spending money to paint the ride, that they would tear it down. Simple economics.
Dalefan
They spent how ever many millions on SOB. And it's just sitting around.

Colonel_SoB_fan
^ But Terpy, that was a "paramount" of a company.
teenageninja
Terpy, I understand your point, circumstances were a little different then and I don't think acquiring parts for an Arrow suspended are as bad as a TOGO Stand Up. I could be wrong, but I really doubt KI will tear out Flight Deck in the next 5 years.
Guest rcfreak339
^Just having a ride painted isn't a sign of a ride staying. Look at Chang from Kentucky Kingdom, the entire ride was repainted at the beginning of the 2007 season then just two years later the entire ride (and park) is gone. If Flight Deck comes to the point that maintaining it is an issue and it costs an unreasonable amount of money than it will leave, newly painted or not. With Arrow and TOGO both gone, of course it will be harder to find parts and fix certain problems. With only 5 Arrow Suspended roller coasters left in the entire world, there will come a point when Flight Deck will have to be torn down just because parts are extremely rare. How long will this be? It's anyone's guess. Also take not that Arrow Suspended coasters are in fact rarer than TOGO Stand-ups, With only 5 Arrow Suspended coasters and and 6 Stand-up TOGOs left. TombRaiderFTW
^ Extremely rare parts for Flight Deck? As I understand it, one of S&S's prime reasons for purchasing the bankrupt Arrow is its profitable parts division...
Guest rcfreak339
What I'm saying is, If more Arrow Suspended coasters keep disappearing then S&S will have much less of a need to make replacement parts for the Arrow suspend coasters. No, the parts will not be impossible to find...just much harder or probably more expensive.
HWBeast1039
Flight Deck's sign has been removed from the entrance to the line. I hope it's just for Club Blood.
flightoffear1996
I think they do that every year.
