sarah_belle1018
Hey, y'all. I'm a new user, but I've been lurking for about a year. I've just got a quick question, and I haven't seen any threads that mentions this. My husband's birthday is soon, and we're going to Haunt's opening night. We've been to Haunt many times, but never for the opening and I was curious how long the lines tend to be. This will be our only chance to go together this season, so I would like to hit all the Haunts. Basically, I want an idea of whether or not it'll be neccessary to purchase the Fright track tickets. lol
XGatorHead 8904
If history is any indication, you picked a good night to go. The crowds tend to be lighter earlier in the Haunt season, and Fridays are usually less busy than Saturdays. As far as wait times, I can't really give you a good idea, since I haven't waited in line for a KI maze since 2007... I've been too busy inside them!
RingMaster
It all depends on the maze itself and what it all entails. Club Blood will generally have a longer line than, say, CornStalkers, on the basis that Club Blood has scantily-clad women pole-dancing. Tombstone Terrortory has a longer line due to utilizing the train as part of its attraction, and its SECOND line once you get off the train! TombRaiderFTW
^ I second this... I've never known Tombstone Terror-tory to have a short line. Ever. It's always one of the longest lines of the Haunts, but it's usually worth it, in my opinion. (Just make sure you try it at the beginning of the season, because it always seems to suffer a lack of scareactors [or a lack of trying scareactors] the soonest.) On a side note, it just hit me that Haunt will be here next week. I am officially so pumped.
sarah_belle1018
Thanks, everyone! I think we'll try to marathon it then instead of spending the $60....lol! And we are SO excited, it's my favorite time of year!
Dustin
How are the wait times for the regular rides and do they stay open till 1am too?
UnrealNightmare
They are normally really short on Fridays. And yes they stay open till park close as well.
185139
when i went with a friend on a Friday it was packed and the line for all the new mazes was at least an hour each but for the other mazes it was 30 minutes
UnrealNightmare
I went every single Friday of Haunt last year and not one of those nights was it really packed. Saturdays are a completely different story.
coasterfanatic83
Unfortunately, I can only go on Saturdays because I play HS football... I usually go 3 or 4 times ust so I can do everything once
jlopez
Im planning on going Saturday during the day. Hopefully the kids rides wont be so long of a wait.
Elkman
Saturdays are very busy. I went once last year, and unfortunately it was a saturday. Diamondback, BLSC, and Cutthroat Cove in 3 hours. A few years ago, I came on a Friday, everything was walk-on at the beginning, 30 minutes at max. But it rained earlier that day, so that helped weed out the crowd a little. teenageninja
You can expect long waits throughout the Haunt, Saturdays are worse though. Friday nights can be hit or miss depending on the weather, but I think that high school football games keep the teenage crowd down. Saturday nights are wide open though. UnrealNightmare
Saturday mornings before haunt usually arent too bad
The Interpreter
Remember, the park doesn't open until 11 a.m. on October Saturdays. On the last Saturday in September, the park does not open to the public until 7 p.m.
Dustin
So I plan on going to the Haunt this weekend and we plan or riding mainly coasters and hitting a few of the Haunt attractions. Will i get mor bang for my buck on Friday or on Saturday im kinda tore on what day ive had to many days to think about it.
RingMaster
Fridays have less people, but Saturdays give you more time to hit the haunts as all the indoor ones open at five. But since it's coasters you want to do, Fridays are your best bet.
Jasper
I will be going to Haunt tomorrow night and I am not expecting light crowds so I guess you can say I am going in with an open mind. The best days to go in October, if you are wanting to experience the park itself and not the Haunts, are Sunday's. I have found that Sunday's in October are simply the absolute best time to visit the park.
Colonel_SoB_fan
Jasper, the last few friday nights have been slow, you should have no problem. Then again I just realized how nice the weather will be, so who knows.
teenageninja
Haunt wait times can be next to nothing with your FRIGHTLANE PASSES!!!!!! -TeenageNinja, who is shameless plugging Haunt passes on here and at the Island for the rest of the month. standbyme
-TeenageNinja, who is shameless plugging Haunt passes on here and at the Island for the rest of the month. Why the dedication pushing them? (Do you make a commission? )
Jasper
Went last night and it really was dead. Hardly any lines at all, except about an hour for Skyflyer because it was so cheap. Other than that, did 3 houses and about 5 rides I think.
jdawg1998
^It was? I went, while it was not crowded, it was not dead for me! Waited half hour - forty five minutes for most mazes.
Jasper
^It was? I went, while it was not crowded, it was not dead for me! Waited half hour - forty five minutes for most mazes. Can't say I ever really saw a maze with a huge line, we did stay in AZ for the majority of the night.
jdawg1998
It's actually strange how the crowds work out. 7PM: Packed, hour wait for Diamondback, Beast, and forty five minute waits for all mazes 8PM: ^Same 9PM: ^Same 10PM: AZ completley dies down, five minute wait for Club Blood and no wait for Wolf Pack, fifteen minute wait for Slaughterhouse 11PM: Coney Maul is crowded, half hour wait for Massacre Manor and Mysteria 12AM: A lot of people leave, no crowds 1AM: Close
KIfan73
Wow, take a look at the park webcams right now!
jdawg1998
^Yup, I went today for coasters but....nah. It was like Taste of Chicago (for those who know what that is like).
Bonks
Went last night and the longest wait we had was about 40 minutes for Mysteria and about 45 for The Beast. The other five mazes we did had an average wait of about 10-15 minutes a piece. We didn't start the mazes until after 10 though.
Rutgerskev
Right now the park is the busiest I've seen it this year.
