MagnumFan
My wife and I are planning our only Haunt trip to KI this coming weekend (Sep 30-Oct 2). All other weekends are spent at CP. I remember from last year Saturday being crazy-busy which we are expecting. So, I'm thinking of buying Fast Lane passes for her and I just for Saturday. I see they are still available on the website. I'd like to wait as long as possible to buy them, so we can make sure the weather will be good, etc. Does anyone know if these sold out for last Saturday, and if so, when did they sell out? We are planning to do all the scary stuff Friday (after Diamondback during early entry), then rides Saturday during the day, and more scary stuff at night. Of course, she wants to see the shows on Saturday but I'm thinking with the Fast Lane pass we will have had more than our fill of rides by that time. MagnumFan
^ Oh that's right! I'm too used to CP (where one can also run to the rides if you choose to do so). Gates open at 7PM, IIRC.
IndyGuy4KI
I really enjoyed the fright lane pass I has last Friday. I do recomend it if you want to try and get everything in.
kingsrattler
^^ Magnum.. can you get in early on Friday's at Cedar Point during Haunt?
MagnumFan
^ Yes and no. Platinum passholders, as well as ANY resort guest (including campground) gets into CP one hour early all operating days, including Friday's Halloweekend. CP has quite a few rides open for early entry, now including Dragster, though you will not find any documentation of this anywhere. But I have 50 combined rides on TTD the past two Friday's, so I'm quite sure about this.
PhantomTheater
CP early entry official list: Millennium Force, Maverick, Raptor, Iron Dragon, WindSeeker, Planet Snoopy, Ocean Motion, Main Midway Carousel Unofficial: Top Thrill Dragster (if it wakes up). MagnumFan
Another question, which I may have to call customer service for the answer. Are these fast passes good the entire day/night that the park is open? From the website: ".....as many times as you want all day long!" When I was there back in the summer I remember the Fast Lane wristbands were only valid during certain hours, like 12-7PM. Has this changed? MagnumFan
Heck of a deal, considering how busy these Saturdays can get. My wife loves Firehawk and we never get to ride it more than once, and that's only by going straight to it when the park opens. What seems like less of a deal is the Saturday price for Fright Lane. $40 for 1-2 tickets. I find it interesting that the Saturday tickets cost more than the Friday tickets, seeing as you only get to go through each haunt one time. Not that we would want to circuit any of the haunts, but there are some that I have gone through twice, if the first experience is bad due to stacking, etc.
kingsrattler
I find interesting, last saturday I was there, the wait for Flight of Fear was a good hour+, the wait for Firehawk was 20 minutes.
markr
Unfortunately, I think some of the dire predictions about Fast Lane have come true that it would become a capacity nightmare. Last night, DB's line started at Rivertown Junction. What was normally in the past about a 50 minute wait was a 1 hr 55 minute wait. Last Saturday, The Beast line stretched to the arcade. What was normally a 1 hr wait stretched to a 1 hr 35 minute wait.
The Interpreter
As the regular line gets slower, the incentive to give the park money for Fast Lane gets stronger. As demand for Fast Lane increases, the incentive for the park to raise its price increases.
