Worth noting in the Monster photo are The Racer trains, which featured four cars per train when the ride originally opened in 1972. Due to the ride's popularity, a fifth car was added in 1973 to incr

  • Wow, that Flight of Fear picture brings back a lot of memories. It was a very warm and sunny June Monday. I just graduated from Princeton HS and was working in an office in St. Bernard. They didn't

I could see The Racer painted white, but not red and blue.

Although you cannot see the red and blue, many of us have......

I also saw The Racer red and blue, but do not think they will paint it those colors.

^It took me awhile to see that you were posting a shot of King Cobra...all I kept seeing was those sweet mullets! :P

In this age of giant flat rides, can you imagine what kind of slide that would be installed now?

Loving the old photos of ride queue areas and the shots of King Cobra. Some shots from the older Paramount days would be really nice as well.

This used to be one of my favorite rides as a kid. Thanks again for posting all the pics.

Photo #57- Action Zone Media Day 1999 - and notice the "Stunt Show" around the water tower

Years? Just a few weeks. It was a shoot 'em up show. In a theme park. Then Columbine happened. A few weeks later, the show quietly disappeared.

Ah! I didn't think it lasted to long, but I thought it lasted longer than a few weeks. Interesting. Thank you for the information.

Skylab was a really fun ride. Are there any giant Skylab rides?

Witches Wheel is not the same model of enterprise that Skylab was. Skylab had much bigger cars then what Witches Wheel as Cedar Point has.

Photo #59 - Phantom Theater

It appears that this photo was taken at the exact second when she received her pink slip informing her that she would no longer be working at Phantom Theater and was being reassigned to some kind of outdoor job. ;)

wow, that is a line for the slide... as a society, we were really hard-up for thrill rides back in the day. if it were there today, that number of people represented in the above picture would likely be the annual tally/count.

There's a slide in that pic? I can't get past the bottom right. :)

Canada's Wonderland still operates their Huss Skylab.

Never got to experience this in person, but it looks amazing. I'm curious to know what the mess was like under the tower when the show was over....
