Guest rcfreak339 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 supposedly B and M launched coasters are supposed to come out around 2013... Islands of Adventure just called, they want it's rumor back. 3 Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Well, just coming from Orlando, I think a good water coaster would do like Journey to Atlantis. 1 Quote
kingsrattler Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 That reminds me.. how was your trip? Are we going to get a trip report? (or is there already one and I just missed it) Quote
coasterfanatic83 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I think that an Intamin coaster would do well at KI. We don't have one yet, and Cedar Point's Maverick seems to fit the idea in my head. Something terrain hugging, with many twists, turns, and PLENTY OF AIRTIME! It doesn't have to be record-breaking, but I think KI needs a fast, fun, high-capacity ride, and Intamin seems to do well with those. 1 Quote
bengalsguy23 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 supposedly B and M launched coasters are supposed to come out around 2013... Islands of Adventure just called, they want it's rumor back. Then I shall rewrite it, Supposedly B and M launched Coasters that are actually launched by B and M are supposed to come out around 2013.... Quote
DeLorean Rider Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Stand up coasters are finished. Too many G's to be fun. KI needs a water coaster to link the 2 wavepools. Quote
sheikra_rocks Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I will take anything by B&M over anything from anyone else any day. I think a Wild Mouse in Coney Mall would be awesome, though. Quote
THE_BEASTmaster Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Another thing.... Those Intamin Maverick-like coasters are getting somewhat "cookie-cutter-ish". It's time for something completely different, and King's Island should be the park that gets it! Cookie cutter? The Blitz coasters are nothing like cookie cutter (and there are only 2 of them), more geometrical ride like http://rcdb.com/778.htm?p=1157, are cookie cutter. Blitz's are too well flowing and (obviously) not very geometrical. Would Cheetah Hunt be considered a Blitz coaster too? Quote
The Interpreter Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 No. The other is iSpeed: http://rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=2&mo=9294 Quote
THE_BEASTmaster Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 So what makes Cheetah Hunt not a Blitz coaster? Quote
PhantomTheater Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Miller, particularly one with a double-dip. Quote
Oldiesmann Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I think a wild mouse would be a great fit for KI, as it would appeal to coaster junkies and families alike Quote
BeastForever Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 A B&M Dive coaster like SheiKra or an Intamin Xcelerator coaster like Storm Runner would be awesome! Quote
fanofFirehawk Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 A B&M Dive coaster like SheiKra or an Intamin Xcelerator coaster like Storm Runner would be awesome! I agree, Dive Coaster would be my first choice. Then probably a Giga (BeastForever said nothing about), for third it would be an Xcelerator or a Maverick style ride. I think a Dive Coaster or a Giga would fit wear Son of Beast (if they decide to not reopen it) Xcelerator might fit there to and Maverick would fit perfectly in Rivertown. Quote
TheBEASTunchained Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 A new wooden roller coaster. But the already exsisting wooden coasters Don't need to be removed to build a new one. Quote
