TheCrypt
First off, let me be clear: In no way am I trying to sound ignorant. I'm only trying to understand. Now. There has been a burning question inside me for awhile. I've always wanted to know why. But what was so bad about the Lindner years? Without him, we wouldn't have rides like Adventure Express and Phantom Theater. Again, just trying to understand. TheCrypt
The Interpreter
Staff reductions. Cost cutting. Park obviously not as clean as before. Most of all, when his Great American Financial sold to Paramount, he retained all the acreage across the street. Much future expansion room for Kings Island went poof with that.

BB1
Welcome to KIC, the land of magic ponies, that we call unicorns, and the land of BB1, who loves the BB and wants it back as seen below. Basically he did alot of things to the park that i love (I want my PT back!), but he did things that made the park look dingy and basically started to run it to the dirt. westcoaster
Linder was a businessman to, so he took the land across the interstate, but really he helped the park, grow, and he sold for a profit.
KIfan1980
He took much more than the land across the Interstate. Do a property search for Great American on the Warren County auditors website and you'd be amazed at what they still own to this day!
