Why do the noobs think it's necessary to make a new topic when a ride simply closes for a few hours.....

I knew that gold link wasn't going to be strong enough to last through this season.

    It's been up and down.

to someone's comment about Drop Tower's recent down time... If not mistaken, it got fried pretty good when it it got zapped by lightning a few months back.

Drop Tower has been operating for the past few weeks.

that's what I was referring to. It operates but seems to have more up/down issues than it used to. I mean, it was hit (by Doc Brown's estimate) 1.21 gigawatts of electricity... enough to send a person backward and forward in time- it's likely that they are band-aiding it to get through the season to do some tune-up work in the off season.

Drop Tower being down on the 4th could have something to do with weather. It cannot operate in high winds, and even if there is no wind at the ground, the wind at the top of the tower can be rather strong. Ask the ride op sitting at the entrance; they'll usually be willing to say whether they're down for "mechanical issues" or a specific weather problem.

I doubt it was due to wind. WindSeeker was open all day and that goes down if someone sneezes nearby.

Point, but I believe DT is more sensitive to wind than WS, as I'm pretty sure I've seen DT down for wind when WS was operating at least once this year. I may be wrong on that, though.

Drop Tower kept overheating because of the lovely weather we have had.

No that is not her ride but she has been sent there before.

Well then I'm going to go ahead and keep my skepticism about that being the cause of it being down.

Can anyone confirm that as a possible cause of the ride being down?

It's operated on really hot days in the past.

That's what I was thinking. This isn't the first time we've had hotter than hell temps.

What is it with Cincinnatians? We tend to forget the weather that happens.

It snows: WHAT IS THIS WHITE FLUFFY STUFF? HOW DO I DRIVE IN IT!!???

It rains: ...hmmm....water...from the sky? How do I drive in it!!??

It's hot: ... I wish it were winter...

it's cold: ...I wish it were summer...

Evac on Top Thrill Dragster during a balancing act,how fun would that be!

They would just push you down the drop. lol

My sister works in Action Zone.

She would be wise to keep information to herself, CF does not like employees who leak private information.

Does she know what they're doing with Son of Beast?!

Terp, who has a new rule. He isn't posting in a certain thread. Until he does. Or sumthin'.

I keep on waiting to see a comment from you in aforementioned thread. Alas, I have so far been disappointed.
