Yeah, sorry about that...I actually used to be afraid of spiders too. What got me over it?

I did a LOT of research about them. Studied them. Realized 99% of them are harmless to humans (most of the big ones, including Tarantulas, fall into this category). While I'm still just a bit afraid, it's now more "curiosity" than fear for most spiders. Of course, if I spot a species that is poisonous...(Black Widow, Brown Recluse, etc etc...)...I might have no choice but to kill it. (Granted, I've actually never seen any of either of those spiders...thankfully)...but, I leave the non-deadly kinds alone...unless my sister, who is still freakishly afraid of spiders, demands I kill it.

Again, I cannot believe a topic about Beast Backstage Tours on KIC became about spiders...

I kill them. There was one time I threw a shoe at one, and it disappeared!!THOSE ARE THE SCARIEST TIMES OF MY LIFE. Also at NYLT one year I got into my tent the first night to set up my stuff cause I was on staff. A HUGE. I mean HUGE black scary spider was chilling on the inside of the rear flap. So what did I do? Got a bowling pin (cause that's what we used to drive the stakes for out tents) and threw it at the darn thing. Well I hit it once, and it once again, disappeared...

1) Sorry 'bout that. :)

2) After the time I've spent on KIC, I am no longer surprised by any topic drift.

At Great Adventure, there was a tradition that a doomed ride got a huge black Spider of Doom draped on it.

Son of Beast sure would look good with a large black Spider of Doom on it, especially during Haunt, should there be enough remaining structure to do that then!

Thanks for posting that tour video. That was a great tour and CoasterBob was a nice guy. He should have left the part with the first train we saw entering the tunnel. We were all excited to be so close and could here the train approaching. When it showed up empty we all said Awwwwww at the same time, lol.

I am amazed the Spider was still alive when he reached it, he was in the back and I remember seeing it in the front of the line.
