ObiPugs
Why would you not have KI's most popular alumni in the KI hall of fame? Do you guys think he should be in there?
KI-ORIG-EMP
I worked with Darrel Pace in 1972 and 1973 and he won the Olympic Archery gold medal in 1976 and 1984 and would had gone to Moscow in the 1980 Olympics if not for the US boycott and he was declared the mens archer for the 20th century by the International Archery Federation. He is not in the Kings Island Hall of Fame.
TTD-120-420
I didn't know who that was until I googled him. I know him as "That dude from Zombieland."
TombRaiderFTW
I haven't seen a ton featuring Woody Harrelson, but I'd see him getting more recognition from Cheers than anywhere else. Even The Hunger Games, because, despite its huge profits and popularity, it's a fad.
Thrill_Biscuit
I read that he was a wood carver at Kings Island. You know, someone out there somewhere probably has a dusty old souvenir that they don't realize was made by him. That'd be a cool discovery, I guess. I'm sure the powers that be will get around to it; so long as he's game.
medford
I didn't know who that was until I googled him. I know him as "That dude from Zombieland." Showing your youth. To some of us of a certain age (or older) we'll always remember his as the lovable Woody from cheers who successfully proved that some white men can indeed jump before taking on a conterversial role in Natural Born Killers amongst a lot of other popular work. He's also one of the main faces of the "legalize weed" movement and isn't shy about letting his veiw point on that subject known. could play a role in his exclusion from the KI Hall of fame, or perhaps its something else, or perhaps he has no interest in coming back to the park for a day to accept the award so KI doesn't feel the need to hand it out???
standbyme
Personally I don't see any reason to induct him...or even Carmen Electra for that matter. It should be for the people who helped make the park what it is today...not for what someone accomplished after they left.
KI-ORIG-EMP
I would not vote for Woody to be in the Hall. I would vote for Darrel Pace before I would him. Darrel is one of the best mens archer in the world today with two olympic gold medals to prove it. Or what about workers that have worked several years at the park but were not famous actors? Gary Wachs and Dennis Spegal were very deserving of the honor for what they did for the park and the industry. I don't think you have to be famous actors and other personalities to be voted into the Hall.
Snowman
I worked with him on "People vs Larry Flynt". He's a really good guy and fun to be around. He is really into yoga and would randomly show up to yoga studios in Memphis to teach a class. Imagine that surprise. He was not much into talking about his past, including taking praise for his work on Cheers so taking praise for working at KI is probably not on "high" his list. I'm just guessing, I don't have an actual source for this information except my own interactions with him in the 90's. I wonder how this post relates to the TOS?
