BlackLabelRules Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 There is currently a rare piece of Kings Island memorabilia listed on eBay. It is a piece of lift chain from The Beast. The seller said it is from the 90's. The seller's name is beast3631 and the listing looks like this: Beast Kings Island Chain Link - Rare - Mechanical PieceHe is a great seller. I've bought a few old KI shotglasses and an original press kit for The Beast from 1979. He's been really nice to me so I decided to put this on here in order to help him get more money for his auction. Please check it out and bid high!!! 1 Quote

dare-to-fly Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I find it hilarious that the user name is beast3631. The number 3631 is very significant to the ride. It's The Beast's phone number. 3 Quote
Browntggrr Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 One has to wonder how rare this actually is. If you think about it, Beast has been around for quite some time, has two large lift hills, and I'm sure both chains have been replaced on more than a handful of occasions. Quote
BlackLabelRules Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 The guy that is selling this stuff had a large collection of KI memorabilia. He said he was a worker at the park and fell in love with The Beast while working there. That's why he had a large collection of items. That's probably how he managed to get a piece of the lift chain. I'm sure he wouldn't sell his collection unless he really needs the money. That's why I mentioned it on here. I'm hoping he raises a fair amount of money. He's been very generous to me with both auctions that I bought from him. He is a trustworthy seller. Quote
Voicetek Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 ^ Yeah it would be nice to have some documentation to go along with this. That way someone could know for sure that it actually came from The Beast. Quote
BlackLabelRules Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 I'm assuming he received the piece when he worked at the park. Quote
coasterfanatic83 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 And we all know what assuming does 3 Quote
AZ Kinda Guy Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I truly feel sorry for anyone who wins that auction. There is no way to determine this piece of chain was actually used on The Beast let alone a roller coaster. 1 Quote
