AintNutinElse2Do Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 With upstop's image #44 and the giant hole being dug. Combined with the green waste water pipe. Could we be seeing the beginning of a tunnel? 1
Zayzayd13 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I know you probably think this is crazy, but watch Scooby Doo: Camp Scare. The clues at the site have some relevance to the movie.
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 With this picture.... 034 by upstop2, on Flickr I'm not so sure of the Immelmann loop now. Actually, I think the footer layout blew a hole in that theory. and I'm sure there are many more footers coming. Are those huge holes they are digging typical/standard for B&M construction? 3
WWC2003Amy Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 So just throwing this out there. How do we know that they arent building more than one ride? 1
Zayzayd13 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Those two holes do look like they could be used for a tunnel.
xXDrummerKiDXx Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 My internet is out for one whole day and I missed so much. Great pics Upstop! Very pleased with thos pics! As for the two holes, I believe that COULD be a tunnel. The only two rides I can think of that has tunnels are The Beast and AE.
jcgoble3 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 The only two rides I can think of that has tunnels are The Beast and AE. Don't forget BLSC. 2
Zayzayd13 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 This is very off topic, But with the whole Cedar Fair not being interested in theming, is Firehawk themed?
TheBEASTunchained Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Are those two holes big enough to be for tunnels?...I don't think so but I could be wrong. They could be the beginning phases of tunnel digging but based on where the holes are being dug, I seriously doubt that they are for tunnels.....I'm clueless as to what they are really for but can't wait to find out! On another note...I love getting all these new updated pictures! They make for more anticipation and speculation! Thanks upstop! 2
YoungStud Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Maverick, gate keeper ttd are themed as much as Cedar Fair will theme. They won't do lights, special effects, etc. only construction theming.
upstop Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I know you probably think this is crazy, but watch Scooby Doo: Camp Scare. The clues at the site have some relevance to the movie. Ok....I'll do that! LOL
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 This is very off topic, But with the whole Cedar Fair not being interested in theming, is Firehawk themed? Yes, it is themed as a Vekoma Flying Dutchman soaring above maintenance roads and gravel. Now you can Fly! 7
BeastForever Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 This is very off topic, But with the whole Cedar Fair not being interested in theming, is Firehawk themed? Not really. The only "theming" I see is it being called Firehawk and its track happening to be red. 2
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 From the new pics I am reminded of Terpy saying something along the lines of: You'd have to start by digging a big hole. 1
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Its got the best station in the park IMO. (Firehawk) I disagree....I find Son of Beast's station to be the best in the park. 1
AintNutinElse2Do Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Imagine if the coaster tunneled under the walkway coming out where the water tower was into a batwing. That coupled with an entry plaza would make quite a statement. 1

McSalsa Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 On that "best station in the park" thing, I have to disagree...I perfer The Beast's run-down-looking old mill station (really matches the ride's atmosphere well) and Flight of Fear's heavily themed "launch tube" station over Firehawk's...Son of Beast's I have seen from afar but never got the chance to visit in person. 6
shawnofthedead Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 it looks as if the main part of the coaster will be right there, behind Delirium. Unless they have alot more footer to pout this is not going to be massive or record breaking. IMO

Hmmm, not too long ago there were surveys from Six Flags asking me if I thought Scooby Doo was something they should keep. I guess it isn't completely impossible that they are changing over and getting picked up by Kings Island.
fryoj Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 If the ride is going to have a tunnel, they would dig a large trench, build a concrete tunnel, then bury the tunnel with dirt. They wouldn't actually tunnel underground. 2
LongliveKingsCobra Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 If you dig a tunnel you gotta start somewhere though... 2

There are definitely some noticeable footers going in there. 2
Zayzayd13 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Ok everyone, about my Scooby Doo Camp Scare post, i just thought that some parts of the movie are like some of the teaser signs or objects at the construction sight, I wasnt saying the whole movie has relevance, just some parts in the beginning. 1
dwitb Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 So just throwing this out there. How do we know that they arent building more than one ride? I've thought the same thing.
LordSkippy Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 If you dig a tunnel you gotta start somewhere though... Even so, digging a tunnel from the one big hole to the other would involve tearing out at least four footers that have already been poured, or removing the machine access road. And I have a feeling they'd dig the entire trench at once, not dig two holes then connect them. 5
