thedevariouseffect
Yeah I've been to two of them...the first one was still my favorite...the second one just made me relive my summer memories.. I will say, I do miss being a ride op, but not the drama and bs that comes with the job. I think that's why I like the military, you come in, get the job done, be on your day
jcgoble3
I do enjoy their off season tours... In true KIC "decoding" fashion, post #9,000 was off-topic. On to 10,000!
Dom497
I got me a king size peanut butter Snickers at Speedway... I have a feeling the Banshee is just a diversion, it only cost $275 to file a trademark, and attorney fees, but FUN has corporate attorneys so its just the filing fee. The official name trade mark will likely be filed on the announcement day, so it will not leak. Or FUN is going to pull out 20 year old artwork and clear out some warehouse space that Banshee recalled items have been sitting in. I still have a gut feeling that it will be called Banshee after my URL find I mentioned this morning.

Dom497
But when you type in anything else, you don't get that. I could be wrong with what I'm "decoding" out of this, but this is just my opinion.

secondson
Replacing the momentous SoB and having construction going on for months now, yes I would say that is hype along wiith the tweets. YoungStud, you're disappointment is your own fault. You hyped it up in your own mind. It seems you want a 350' Intamin giga that goes 98mph with sharp turns and ejector airtime, which in and of itself is fine, if that's what you want. I think anything less than that is going to be a disappointment to you. A lot of people seem to hype it up in their minds, and that's what causes the letdown when they see it's not what they envisioned in their heads. But KI hasn't done anything to hype this up to be anything more than what it is.....and they haven't even told us what it is yet. So any and all speculation by anyone at KIC is based on their own fantasies and interpretations. The hype is not fed by KI at all. uhh this annoumcement is to much Annoumcement?? You aren't by chance on a bumpy road, are you?
Dom497
yea you can type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/knightrider and still take you to https://www.visitkingsisland.com Type in anything if this is the case, then we also have a new ride called melgibson That's not my point. If you type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/2015, you end up at the home page. If your type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/2014, you get the 404. If you type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Banshee, you get the 404. If you type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Bansheee, (or anything else) you end up at the homepage. (This one has an extra "e") "2014" and "Banshee" are the only things that give you a 404 error. NOTE: If you click on the links from here, you just go to the homepage, to get the 404 error, you have to type in the rest of the url.
malem
I still have a gut feeling that it will be called Banshee after my URL find I mentioned this morning. You got redirected due to a 404...I wouldnt call that a find yea you can type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/knightrider and still take you to https://www.visitkingsisland.com The fact that http://www.visitkingsisland.com/Banshee directs to a 404 page, whereas http://www.visitkingsisland.com/anyslug does not, indicates that the Banshee url is defined. Slugs that aren't defined redirect back to the homepage. One plausible reason would be that updates to a configuration got transferred to the production server before the new content. (Hopefully they don't push the content the day before the announcement, like Cedar Point did with Gatekeeper.) Nope, it used the old way that Cedar Fair handled new ride urls, just like Leviathan. (Cedar Fair changed the way they put new attraction web pages in 2013 with Gatekeeper) http://leviathan.canadaswonderland.com/ The ride name was not a subpage of the main url. For new rides, CF uses "www.parkname.com/newridename". The url you using is the general url used for all of the parks attractions. Also, new rides tend to have two pages (or so it seems). https://www.cedarpoint.com/rides/Roller-Coasters/Gatekeeper-NEW-in-2013 (this is a similar "general" url that you are referring to) https://www.cedarpoint.com/Gatekeeper EDIT: After you edited your original post, that is because Diamondback had its own website all together (for whatever reason). http://www.kiDiamondback.com/
