Starting to Decode 2014

I've been thinking today...dangerous at times, but let's just assume the blueprint video is 100% accurate and true. Why was the repeating blue envelope covering the front gate of KI? Could KI be in for an entrance gate overhaul like CP did? I know the KI entrance is very dated and could use a rehab itself. Maybe make the tower more striking and picturesque while outside the park? Maybe bring back a newer, modern International Street Restaurant?

Just a though...I haven't heard anybody bring this up yet. I'd personally LOVE to see an overhaul to the KI entrance and gates.

I'm trying to read and get caught up so this may have been answered but...

The blueprints in the video are 100% real and accurate for what was filed with the city. And nothing had been changed on those in terms of the front gate area.

On the first page it's perfectly oriented to cover Invertigo and the ticketing/season pass processing room. They may be making some modifications to the front of the park in that area, there are very recent tree removals in the front service entrance area. I don't see a redirect of the main gate away from international street.

I don't think this topic has been discussed very much, seems like a lot of focus on who is making the track for a the new coaster.

Just checked on Internet Explorer, and did see it. I thought I was falling for a prank or something. lol!

What are we looking at? Can I see it on my iPhone?

Nothing looked different/changed/out of the ordinary when I looked at the blueprint without the blue envelope. I think it was just randomly stuck there. I saw nothing that needed covered.

Plus, those blueprints are for foundation work for that ride only.

heres the only thing I don't get:

why for a simple coaster did this project start so early?

A simple coaster? Early?

It started in April. From April to April 2014 (opening day), that's just a year to build a world record breaking coaster.

Never mind, it's not important.

well a fairly simple coaster in todays world. Not even a new design.

in years past they never announced a new coaster till spring, just recently with all the new ways to "tweet" ,was there a sense to have an early announcment.

They did'nt pour footers for Gatekeeper till sept. 2012.

I think they are starting so early just for the hype.

In legend, a Banshee wails nearby if someone is about to die. There are some special families who are believed to have Banshees attached to them, and whose cries herald the death of a member of that family. Most, though not all, surnames associated with Banshees have the Ó or Mac prefix.[9] They were also associated with the Airlie clan.[8] Accounts of Banshees go back as far as 1380 with the publication of the Cathreim Thoirdhealbhaigh (Triumphs of Torlough) by Sean mac Craith.[10] Mentions of Banshees can also be found in Norman literature of that time.[10] The Ban Si was also known to wail at the crowning of the true king. Such a cry was reported to be heard at the crowning of Brian Boru.

Traditionally, when a person died a woman would sing a lament (in Irish: caoineadh, [ˈkɰiːnʲə] or [ˈkiːnʲuː], "caoin" meaning "to weep, to wail") at the funeral. These women are sometimes referred to as "keeners" and the best keeners would be in much demand. Legend has it that for five great Gaelic families — the O'Gradys, the O'Neills, the Ó Briains, the Ó Conchobhairs, and the Caomhánachs — the lament would be sung by a fairy woman; having foresight, she would sing it when a family member died, even if the person had died far away and news of their death had not yet come, so that the wailing of the Banshee was the first warning the household had of the death.

The Ó Briains' Banshee was thought to have the name of Eevul, and was ruler of 25 other Banshees who would always be at her attendance.[10] It is thought that from this myth comes the idea that the wailing of numerous Banshees signifies the death of a great person.[10]

In later versions, the Banshee might appear before the death and warn the family by wailing.[11] When several Banshees appeared at once, it indicated the death of someone great or holy.[12] The tales sometimes recounted that the woman, though called a fairy, was a ghost, often of a specific murdered woman, or a mother who died in childbirth.[13]

Banshees are frequently described as dressed in white or grey, often having long, pale hair which they brush with a silver comb, a detail scholar Patricia Lysaght attributes to confusion with local mermaid myths. This comb detail is also related to the centuries-old traditional romantic Irish story that, if you ever see a comb lying on the ground in Ireland, you must never pick it up, or the Banshees (or mermaids — stories vary), having placed it there to lure unsuspecting humans, will spirit such gullible humans away. Other stories portray Banshees as dressed in green, red, or black with a grey cloak.[6]

look at this a couple hints we have seen

For many of our guests Thursday's announcement will be like Christmas, New Years, and July Fourth all rolled into one.

-via KingsIslandPR twitter

Soooo the announcement will involve unwrapping something (a 5,000 pound piece of track). After which, we toast to new beginning while fireworks go off in the background? WOOOOO

Edit: late haha

Sounds about right.

So there's going to be people gorging on copious amounts of food, getting drunk off their rockers, and explosives...

Sounds about right.
