Any chance you could snap a few of the new wait time signs and post them in my trip report from tonight so everyone else could see what I was talking about, specifically Beast's? Thanks!

  • Nice report! How long did you wait for some of the rides? Yesterday I waited 2 hours for Diamondback, 30 minutes for Adventure Express, and 40 for Vortex and Drop Tower. It was packed!

I changed the thread title for the sake of not filling up the forums with my constant trip reports. 5/14/13 The park was a ghost town. I rode Diamondback for the first time during ERT.my friend and

Getting out for the summer... Ah, youth. And teaching. Then again, I guess one could do so for retirement...endless summer?

^ill look to see if I took any.

Today was a nice day to go to KI. My friend Bryan and I went to DB while my other friend, Tyler, proceeded to Flight of Fear. We got on DB early as well as Vortex. Then we met Tyler at Flight of Fear then rode it again. We went to ride AE then boarded the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad to go to Soak City. I went to rent a large locker until I saw the price $21! I know that the lockers by FoF were cheaper so we reboarded the train and got a large locker for $12. Little did I know that there were a set of lockers in Rivertown. We then reboarded the train and swam in SC for about 3 hours. We walked back to the main park to get some pizza before riding all the water rides. Then Bryan and I waited a good 30 minutes in line for The Beast. It was hilarious because the ride-op was talking like Batman into the mic. After that my feet were killing me. I never did have a chance to take pics of the construction from the tower but I did get some pics of Olaf and some cool train footage from cool angles. Vids and pics coming soon.

Most pics and vids were of the trains since we were going to both the main park and Soak City multiple times throughout our day. I didn't complain and it sure beats walking.

Ive been here a couple of days so heres part of my trip report. Ok, so far the weather has beben great! Its my whole stepdad's side of the family. We have this huge house that we are renting. You can see right off into the ocean from any of the 3 floor decks. There is a pool, a hot tub, tons of rooms, complete beach access, and it even has an elevator. Yesterday we actually saw some porpoises from the kitchen window! We went to this ice cream place where they served blueberry flavored. It was delicious but it was white instead of blue.

Not as packed today, we rode most of the coasters before lunch after ERT so we swam in Soak City for about three hours. Vortex was extremely painful. The Beast and The Racer as well as FOF seemed to be A LOT smoother than in years past.

  • Author

Hmmm... Vortex painful? You didn't ride in the back did you?

I rode in the front and the back. I know the back is more intense than the front but yesterday, it was extremely painful as well as the front.

Someone here should try to ur peel the sticker :)

Met with some zoo teens today. I was there early so I got to meet some peanuts pals before I rode Diamondback then I proceeded to The Beast. Since there were people in line i had to get back in line versus staying on the train. However, I got to ride train #1 3 times in a row! Coincidence? Then I rode the train then later met with my group around the Eiffel Tower. We went up to get a nice breeze, then we went straight to Firehawk. White Water Canyon twice in a row then Diamondback. After that, I bought a turkey leg at Snake Pit, said hi to Mr. Helbig, then met up with my group outside of Rivertown Potato works. Then we boarded the train and chilled out in Soak City until the storm rolled in. We re boarded the train. After that we rode train #1 again on The Beast. Then WAM! It was like God broke open the dam up of Heaven because there was a loud boom!! then came the hard rain. There was so much lightning in the air so my mom came and picked my up because most of my friends had already left. Photos coming soon.

Great photos. I especially like the first one of Diamondback. I'm a sucker for vanishing points. :)

My 8 year old brother stepped up to the plate yesterday and rode flight deck, racer and Vortex for the first time before the park closed in under a hour. We spun the prize wheel at like 3 yesterday and won two pairs of front line passes, which we used before closing on the two best night rides in the park: The Beast and Diamondback!

Going to the B&O Railroad Museum today!!!!

Really I've seen videos on YouTube of their steam days with the oldest operating 4-4-0 Steam engine the William mason, make sure to take photos and videos.

Yes, it rained most of the day so the only coaster I got to ride was Comet. But I did get to ride the Dry Gulch Railroad and the Frontier Flyers (Flying eagles). Oh and we also went through chocolate world.

That's unfortunate you only were able to ride one coaster.

I hope the Frontier Flyers didn't sour you on the flying scooter rides...those are probably the second worst version of them I have ever tried.

No pics, just words.

So after golf try outs, my friends, Tyler, Jennifer, Tyler's mom, and I went to KI. We rode Flight Deck, Flight of Fear, The Beast. Tyler wimped out on Diamondback so he left Jennifer, his mom, and I at Diamondback while he just went to Flight of Fear. They were running ghost trains for like 15 minutes. Then when they started to board passengers, the reds played got on. After about an hour later, we rode Diamondback. Jen and I rode the train while we waited for Tyler to come back. Then he wimped out on Vortex so Jen and I rode it while him and his mom rode backlot. I found out that they weren't loading people in the last car because of roll backs. So after Vortex, Jen and I rode Adventure Express and called it a day.
