Cedar Point crowds 6-7-13?

Featured Replies

I don't think schools up there are out yet, but its a weekend so it will be fairly crowded. I don't think it will be as bad as a summer weekend though. It also depends on the weather! Don't forget that!

I hope you have fun!

But it's June instead of July. Does that help?

Some. But they have this new ride. You may have heard of it. And it IS a Friday.

In all seriousness I have never been to CP but will be there thu-sun that week. That date is coastermania so there will be a lot of coaster fans there that week. I would guess that crowds would be around average from reports i have read from others around the same time in past years. But again i haven't been to CP so i have no idea how long lines average would entail.

I didn't say the park will be stupendously busy. "Moderately busy."

And PointBuzz knows its stuff as to Cedar Point.

You are going either way. Enjoy. Have a blast. And don't worry so much.

CoasterMania is ALWAYS a great time.

A wee bit. But CoasterMania will draw a much bigger crowd itself than it usually does. Again, you are gonna go regardless. Have FUN.

I'll be there that day for CoasterMania.

As far as crowds, much depends on the weather. On Friday, June 24, 2011, the park was relatively dead, with waits under 30 minutes for Millie, Maverick, and TTD, due to overcast skies, off-and-on rain showers, and a threat of thunderstorms. The whole week had been the same way. And that was well after schools let out for the summer. Now if the weather is sunny, high 70s, and no chance of rain that day, you could have hour-plus lines for the aforementioned rides. So as I said, a lot will depend on the weather.

Im going on the 6th, to A)Avoid said crowds and Coastermania and B)so I can drive to Des Moines, IA on the 7th to prepare for Relay For Life on the 8th.

I'll be there on the afternoon of the 6th as well. Plus the morning of the 8th, at least for ERT.

I'd expect moderate to heavy crowds. I think early in the morning won't be too bad, but crowds will increase as the day goes on.

I'm going up in the 8th. It will be what it will be. I tell my son all the time "Standing in line is part of it".

I didn't even know about coaster mania going on. Well hopefully I meet some wonderful fanatics in line..

Does anyone have an idea of what kind of crowds to expect on that day?

Sorry, no.

You have any idea what the Powerball numbers will be tonight?

Did Powerball build a new coaster?

Not this year. We are still stuck with the old ones.

But there have been fences erected in one section of the park....

From my personal experiences, I have learned that when a park builds a new attraction, the park tends to be busier than normal even on days that "shouldn't" be seen as crowded. I would like to say that the park will probably not be nearly AS busy on a Friday as would a weekend day, but I would still say it being Cedar Point with a brand new roller coaster, you can expect it to be busy. That is just from my personal experiences though.
