Kings Dominion in 2 Hours

I had the day off from Busch today, so I decided to take a trip to KD.

I woke up around two and left around three after showering and some laundry.

I arrived at 4 and the park closed at 6.

In that short time I got in a front and back ride on I305, one ride on Volcano in the very back, one ride on Avalanche, two rides on Wild Eagles, two rides on Rebel Yell, one ride on Grizzly and one ride on Dominator to finish off the day.

It was my first trip ever to the park, and I was impressed. It is beautiful. Not in the Busch Gardens kind of way, but the amount of trees is awesome.

I305 was insane. I grey out on most rides, (No clue why) but I305 made me almost pass out. I loved it. Top 5 coaster for sure.

Volcano was very cool. The barrel rolls are unique and very fun. Not sure why not a lot of people built these coasters.

Rebel Yell I thought was better than KI's Racers. The first drop nearly threw me out of my seat.

Grizzly was average.

Dominator was pretty boring and also rough.

I took a lot of pictures, but when I returned home and put the memory card in my laptop only 6 or so pictures would appear. :( Makes me mad.

Anyways, thanks for reading.

Odd precedent they have down there. Those parks just close on days of rain. Maybe it's the long operating season, so they're so used to doing it early and late in the year that they'll do it anytime the weather doesn't agree, but can you imagine Kings Island or Cedar Point closing for rain? It's a semi-regular occurrence there. I really don't get it.

As Terp said, there was a tropical storm coming through the area. We also had multiple tornado watches. It wasn't just a normal rain storm.

Kings Island or Kings Dominion? Which do you prefer?

Kings Dominion.

It's not just rain. It's the remnants of a tropical storm and a veritable deluge. Kings Island has closed in similar circumstances, as has Cedar Point.

Ah, I see. Still, many many trips to Busch Gardens they've been closed a half-day or more due to plain old rainstorms or even winds.
