Diamondbacker27
Is it just me or when you began your ride on FH the sun is in your eyes so you have to cover them or look away. You fall onto the restraint Feel like you're falling out Get a head ache Or Get spit or something in the face? Maybe this is why it's one of my least favorite rides?? Sorry if this Topic is un related to anything or needs to be removed I wouldn't know since I'm new here. Any way my names Hunter I'm a coaster Junkie and I would love to meet some other Coaster a junkies
Bennett
One wears their sunglasses out of the station, to the top of the lift hill...then, hold them in ones hand during the duration of the ride. The feeling of "falling out" is supposed to be like that. Try riding it at 6'6", 240 lbs. Rubs right on my shins. Biggest problem with the ride, to me, is capacity, and downtime. Fun ride, though. Best ridden at 10am..or, at night. FWIW, this does not belong in the KIPOLLS area...
SonofBaconator
The only problem besides the sun on the first hill is the actual ride time and the long lines.
Coaster.Rider.Kings Island
The only problems besides having sun in my eyes on the lift hill is the long lines. It does feel like you are falling out but It is supposed to feel that way and in my opinion is the biggest thrill factor of the ride. Colonel_SoB_fan
CHugh43 and I were just talking about some of this issues on Facebook earlier. I have issues with the loop.
fanofFirehawk
I'd like to think of those as your personal issues rather than problems with ride. Yes the lines are long, but other than that there are no "problems" with the ride.
TheCrypt
The loop on Firehawk is one of my favorite elements. Ever.
thekidd33
I second the loop issues. Love the ride but if I'm in the very back through the loop it gives me a day ending headache. It is the only element on any coaster I've ever had a problem like that with.
KI-ORIG-EMP
The "falling out feeling" was the same when I had a scan on my spinal cord in my neck. I was strapped to the table, and then it was tilted over, turning me upside down on my head. I felt like I was going to fall off the table. The Interpreter
I LOVE the loop. Don't even get me started about the B&M Flying Supermen. SuperUgh crossed with SuperBoring. I love the Vekoma Flying Dutchmen. They are excellent rides. Unlike the SuperSnore B&M Flying Supermen with their horrid, painful pretzel loops.
Coaster.Rider.Kings Island
I agree with Terpy I love the loop. I also love the inline twists.

Stitch
Firehawk's throughput is my biggest turn off. After waiting and baking for a good half hour or more, I don't get much thrill out of it.
Diamondback FOF
The only personal issue I have with Firehawk is how loud the lifthill is with your head so close to the chain and catches!
Tanna
This is my least favorite ride- awkward positioning and the need to hang on and hold myself up. There is a huge gap between me and the restraints, and it kills my wrists to hold myself to the back of the seat. I know the restraints are designed that I stay in, or else there would be a weight/height restriction. Strangely, my niece is the same height build as me, but loves Firehawk.
tjpavlik
The machine gun going off next to your ears on the lift hill is slightly annoying. I have yet to lose sunglasses on any ride at KI, including Firehawk.
TheBEASTunchained
Firehawk is a great ride in my opinion and the loop just adds to its greatness. Some of you may consider the loop a "problem" or an "issue" but it is neither of those things and if it was than it would not be operating until the problem/issue was fixed. The loop may not be the favorite part of the ride to some of you, but that does not make it an issue or a problem. Vekoma was smart when making and designing the flying dutchman coaster.

Have you ever tried just letting go with your hands out like your flying? Its more comfortable for me to just not hold on at all.
spitfire
I used to hate Firehawk simply due to that feeling of "falling out." And even now riding it, it can be uncomfortable when all your weight is being pressed against the restraints. But honestly, the more I made myself ride it, the more I got over that fear, and now I really enjoy the ride. I do have to block out the sun on the way up, but now the worst part to me, as many others have noted, is the deafening lift hill ascent.

BeastForever
Does anyone else have that feeling on Firehawk that you could easily slip your legs out of the leg restraints if you REALLY TRIED? That's what I don't like about it.

That's what I don't like about it. Probably, I mean a kid managed to wiggle his way out of a Drop Tower seat. But even if you did I still don't think you'd fall out of the train, it might hurt a substantial amount, but I don't think you'd fall out. shawnofthedead
Uncomfortable, with diffrent restraints this ride could be awesome. I feel the seatbelts\padded restraints barely click in. Ride op told me that the plastic grips people hold on too are known to break.
xXDrummerKiDXx
4 years ago I hated that ride, I was short (I barely made 54 inches and I was 12!) and very light weight (97 pounds) so I always had to feeling of falling out. Just last year I gave it another chance since I've grown substantially, it is by far my favorite now! I guess it all depends on size. It's easier if you out your arms out like your flying, or at least to me.
