February 23, 200323 yr The Subway will not suck. We have had some of our management out working in area subways recently. Since Subway is the fastest growing food chain in America we decided to jump on board and get one. From what I've been told we will serve more than just 6" subs, so both 6" and 12". Also, they haven't decided yet if we will do any hot subs or not. For those sad that Sweet Tooth will be closed, don't worry you can get Ice Cream across the street at It's Fried along with Funnel Cakes all day long. No, that doesn't mean Street Funnel will close, they will still be there just only open in the afternoon like they currently have operated. Edited January 1, 197056 yr by beastfreak
February 23, 200323 yr Wow I like Subway but dosen't PKI allready have a sub place by the All star cafe?
February 23, 200323 yr Oh yeah, forgot to mention All Star. Yeah, All Star used to make subs. That stand will no longer be All Star yet again. (That stand changes names all the time) The park did some research and found an Asian food company that was also at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. They will be taking over the location of All Star this year obviously with a name change.
February 24, 200323 yr An Asian restaurant replacing All Star Cafe? Hmm, that's help make International Street to be more "International".
February 24, 200323 yr I want some mexican food at pki, a bean burrito sure would be nice as opposed to a hard (SOFT) pretzle lol. I would love to be able to get nachos and tacos!
February 24, 200323 yr they need to take out magilla's and the krabby patty shop thing and make a replica of the krusty krab somewhere.
February 24, 200323 yr That would be really cool as long as they laid off of the Theme song while you were in it. Edited January 1, 197056 yr by Coasterguy107
February 24, 200323 yr The park had a mexican restraint at one time it was located in Rivertown wear Skyline chili is now.
February 24, 200323 yr Yeah, you're right - Mexican Cantina.. that's been gone since mid 90's - good stuff though... I'm guessing they created Skyline Express there to replace the International Street Skyline that went away in favor of All Star.. not many remember that! PKI did have a Mexican-ish concessionaire in this year across from the International Showplace, I forget what it was called, and I'm guessing it was just as memorable for everyone else...
February 24, 200323 yr I dont like the Skyline by WWC because they dont serve 3 4 or 5 ways just coneys.
February 24, 200323 yr We are getting a subway thats great! If i eat in the park i always eat Skyline i gots to have my chilli chesse fries! Is bubba gump food anygood? why would they tear down magilla's? why put a Krusty Krab in when they could retheme the one they have? so is the allstar cafe gone?
February 24, 200323 yr Ok Chris it may be Bubba Gump food, but it isn't being called Bubba Gump that is what I meant, sorry. Anyways Subway and Chinese foods are great ideas for the park and I'm glad that we are getting them.
February 24, 200323 yr Wouldn't having Subway in PKI change their drink company? Since Coke is their company, that might be a big change in drinks. Pepsi will strike.... ~Shadow~
February 24, 200323 yr I don't think that they will strike over it... o Coke is now the offical drink of both SF and PAR parks!
February 24, 200323 yr Shouldn't be a conflict. I think a Subway franchise could have Coke if they wanted.
February 24, 200323 yr And its one subway out of like 500+. They have a Subway @ SFKK too is Subway just makeing itself an amusement name?
February 24, 200323 yr Pop companies can't say anything because they are only liscenced for the branches the company owns, and since the Subway at KI is not owned by Subway, Pepsi can't do anything. Look at Skyline. In Kings Island they serve Coke, any other Skyline in Cincinnati serves Pepsi. Oh yeah, remember those fun pop cups through out the park that blast "Coke" down your throat. Well.... no more. Most people who go to KI or other Paramount parks are not aware that Paramount has other parks through out the country, thus start looking for the Paramount Parks logo along with each individual park logo on more items this year, including pop cups, fry containers, hamburger boats (the containers you get your burger in), as well as the dining packets you use in the picnic grove.
February 24, 200323 yr But isnt Coke the official pop of Kings Island ?! and isnt Sky Line the official Food of Kings Island? thats what it says on the back of the map?
February 24, 200323 yr All I know is La Rosa's serves Coke, Sky Line and Subway serve Pepsi @ PKI they all serve Coke No big deal.
February 24, 200323 yr I have never really ate at la Rose's but i do drink more Coke than Pepsi(yuck!!) just my Opinion! i dont really like Pepsi gives me a headach!! i dont need that when iam on Delirium!!!
February 25, 200323 yr There is one thing that I have been pondering about Delirium, ok everyone knows the Satelite rides at carnivals and Coney Island ... well the force gets pushed into you thus making some people more Nausious than others (Im one of them). Well since Delirium has an outward disk the force will go with us not against us... do you think that it will indue bad Nausia?
February 25, 200323 yr Good Question ! i dont think it will be very bad i hope not ! i dont wanna barf iam looking forward to Delirium!
February 25, 200323 yr Of course it will, since the forces would be pushing outward. My forcast for pki on the AZ midway: projectile vomiting. That cant be good.
February 25, 200323 yr Well I haven't heatd too many complaints from friends of mine in Canada who ride Psyclone ... who knows.
February 25, 200323 yr I don't think Delirium spins fast enough to have this effect on people. I am not sure how fast those satellites spin, but they have to spin enough, to create centrifugal force, and push you against the sides. I am thinking that Delirium spins much slower than this, and that the swinging will help your body ignore any forces the spinning will put on you.
March 25, 200323 yr Any food sub-contractor, such as LaRosa's or Skyline, is in a contract with PKI to serve the food that they have a trademark on. The cola companies that they are affiliated with are an internal matter. Hence, any food merchant at PKI will provide the food that they have a trademark for and can legally only serve the soft drink(s) that their contract with PKI allows. Hence..........Coke is it at PKI. Edited January 1, 197056 yr by italianchef
March 26, 200323 yr But you will never see Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, or KFC in a Coke park, because they are owned by Pepsi. I wish KI would go Pepsi, that would be great. I love Pepsi and they have much better products than Coke.
