The Interpreter Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Nope. Not that that's much of an improvement. Flash still has critical weaknesses often. 1
fanofFirehawk Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Did you learn anything though, because my Social Studies teacher always said going off topic never hurt anyone as long as you learned something. A fan possibly trying to stay off topic to avoid an assignment. 6
The Interpreter Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 No putzing around is allowed at pointbuzz. Terp, just sayin' 4
Kat Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Ok to be on topic if you know what you are looking for you can see Banshee through the trees as you are going up 71 north. I was in the passenger seat and could see the color of the transfer structure through the trees. Not very well, but it is visible 1
fanofFirehawk Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I think we will start to see more track and supports going up once Labor Day weekend is over or in other words tomorrow. 5
Kat Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I think we will start to see more track and supports going up once Labor Day weekend is over or in other words tomorrow. Agreed. Can't wait to see how much changes by Sunday! 3
zombieninja Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 The current Banshee structure just looks enormous in person. I took a couple good shots with my Sony in the Eiffel Tower. 19
milesharrison Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Great pics! It really is massive in person. This weekend, I kept trying to picture for myself just how well it's going to interact with the midway. 2
fanofFirehawk Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 It truly is going to be awesome, and not in the 21st century watered down way. That dive loop right over the walkway it going to be just jaw dropping and even now the stature of this is just massive. EDIT: Is that structure in front of the transfer tables the future station? 6
zombieninja Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 ^That dive loop may end up just as impressive as the first immelman on Griffon. 4
Ride On_17 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I'm from an age where a flasher was something much more common, but entirely different. Don't look, Ethel! Let me go grab another Snickers! 2
Tuskin Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 As terp has stated Flash is a dying art. I know flash, quite well I might add, but html5 has long surpassed the flash age. Any web builder that uses flash is wasting time, when html5 can do much, much, more. Don't expect phones to have flash capabilities anymore, its pointless. 4
myklhicks Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 they're starting early this morning! they've got the small crane up. 2
myklhicks Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 and it looks like they have the track in place to go up! 1
Adventuro Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 It's really hard to tell, but it looks like they have the track up where the station turns into the lift.
Markdb96 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Its hard to see, but they did add some track where the turn out of the station is. 4
fanofFirehawk Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I don't think so, I think it would be odd to put a piece there when there is the transfer table to finish.
myklhicks Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 THEY HAVE TRACK UP COMING FROM THE STATION AND STARTING TO CURVE UPHILL
fanofFirehawk Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Yeah, now that I look at it harder it does look like the might have it all the way, if my eyes aren't deceiving me that is very impressive. 1
Adventuro Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Yes the base of the lift all the way to the transfer has track 2
sheikra_rocks Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Looks like we have the station track, and the 2 curved sections before the first lift section in place! (Taken from KI's Facebook.) 23
Vortexfreak Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Looks amazing, I wonder if we will start seeing the lift going up here soon.
FlyingEagle Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I totally love these pictures. Can't wait to ride this next year. I have always wanted a inverted coaster at Kings Island and I have finally got my wish. And this is going to be a awesome coaster. 4
kirbias1 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 The area between the transfer track and the first track support before the turn left to go up the lift looks like a small area for the station to squeeze into. 1
KI FANATIC 37 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I have always thought the station looks small, but I'm sure it will work! 2
jcgoble3 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I have always thought the station looks small, but I'm sure it will work! Keep in mind that the station for Banshee does not need to be as long as that of Diamondback., because Banshee fits as many riders into half as many rows by going four across. So the Banshee station only needs room for eight rows instead of sixteen. 6
sheikra_rocks Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I have always thought the station looks small, but I'm sure it will work! Have you ever ridden Raptor? Or any of the Batman clones? Smallest stations ever.
CoastersRZ Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I can assure you that the station for Banshee will work. They aren`t going to install a ride as expensive as Banshee if the loading station doesn`t work. 4
