Coasterama Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I think it is a cement truck. Sweet. Let the queue construction begin. 2
MatterEaterLad Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I can't tell for sure what it is, but it looks like something is going on with the seats on Delirium... Does anyone know what they're doing? (Yes I know that someone knows, I'm looking for someone to give an answer hopefully) 2
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 i just noticed at the bottom of the first drop....just above the supports...is that a pathway on the ground. (not sure if i worded that properly) 2
sikkinixx99 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 That is odd looking. Looks like a long piece of wood to me but can't tell
Millslite Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Are Chik-Fil-A's closed on sundays altogether? <In unison> Are Chik-Fil-A's closed on Sundays? <end chant> 8
Gplez90 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Seeing the workers stand next to Banshee really puts the size of the ride in perspective. This thing is really HUGE! 4
Coasterama Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 It's hard to keep track of all of the activity this morning. 1
RailRider Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Alpengeist 2 above ground tunnels at 1:28 and 1:47 9
Outdoor Man Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 gotta say, it seems that despite some pretty terrible weather conditions for the construction period- the Banshee construction is moving along pretty well. I don't think the full circuit of Diamondback was done before mid-February was it? some unforeseen condition notwithstanding, the circuit construction could very well be done by mid-week. 7
Adventuro Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 gotta say, it seems that despite some pretty terrible weather conditions for the construction period- the Banshee construction is moving along pretty well. I don't think the full circuit of Diamondback was done before mid-February was it? some unforeseen condition notwithstanding, the circuit construction could very well be done by mid-week. Diamondback is at least a good bit larger, so that could be a reason as well.
The Interpreter Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 In some ways, yes. In other ways, no. 3
Adventuro Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Well I mean it's in general taller, and longer. 1
upstop Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Edit....beat to the punch again...LOL anyone else notice the digging around the first drop? Edit....beat to the punch twice... Hanging up for the day...LOL 3
The Interpreter Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 As in the video RailRider posted? Imagine that. 2
Coasterama Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Black Mamba has 7 tunnels, despite not being the biggest invert. 2
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 looks like the next support is about to be lifted into place 1
myklhicks Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 If there is going to be a tunnel, I'd say that would fit the Banshee theme nicely (screams in the tunnel = scream of a Banshee). 2
KevKenny Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 If there's going to be a tunnel, where would it go?
The Interpreter Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Around the coaster? Terp, who just HAD to. 15
THE_BEASTmaster Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I don't think they're building a tunnel but clearing out the snow for the que line construction. 1
sikkinixx99 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 You think the que line will start all the way over by the 1st drop?
sikkinixx99 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I think they took lunch I haven't seen any movement by that big support on the ground for awhile 1
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 well I guess they can take 5 for lunch, I think those boys have earned it...don't you? 4
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I kinda don't think that area at the base of the first drop is necessarily for queue lines....I think they are just smoothing out the landscape contours from probably deep truck/crane/forklift tracks that were more then likely made during the construction on wet and snowy days.... 1
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 does anyone know when the latest timelapse vids will be up? 1
FoF96" Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Posts so nice, he had to make thrice. FoF96" beating Terp to the punch. (if indeed Terp was planning on calling out triple post) 3
rcwizard13 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 davidw post the new time-lapse videos every Monday. If he hasn't gotten to it yet, don't worry, he will. They take a lot of time and he does a lot for us- making the time-lapse and the Banshee track completion images. Finally, instead of triple posts, take advantage of the edit button in the bottom right corner of every post you make. Edit: Darn, FoF96" beat me to the triple post. 5
