Thrill_Biscuit Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Do that, and ride on media day with the shirt on. I'll probably just use my ZIP code ...EDIT: "And spend the next 37 days at LifeTime trying to get somewhere near this cut!" 17
calakapepe Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 "Approximately" Hahahaha An oddly specific number to be following after the word "approximately" 8
Kat Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I too would love to know if we will get shirts at media day, before I purchase one from the KI Marketplace online 2
AgentSoB Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I would think if they were going to do the tees they would do it opening day. That's what they did with Firehawk and DB. 2
Ride On_17 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 To be honest, I hope no one reveals the lighting package of Banshee. I want it revealed in its full glory at the end of opening day. I'll wait to post my media day/Scream For a Kid Again trip report until after opening day then. I can't speak for others though. Or you can still post it before Opening Day and people can just choose not to look at it if they don't want to get an early peek at what it's like... Just because something is posted, it doesn't mean you all have to look at it. 6
Kat Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 and we have testing again!! Image captured from Kings Island live Banshee webcam, which can be viewed here or here 10
GODZILLA2877 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 and we have testing again!! Image captured from Kings Island live Banshee webcam, which can be viewed here or here Looks like The Bat is finished being painted! 5
CoasterMyths79 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 ^^^Not just yet, they still have one more spot and a few supports. In matter of fact, they are painting the last part of the track orange. 5
Coasterama Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Looks like she's testing again. Through the Batwing at 4:53:34. 2
fanofFirehawk Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Just wondering have they begun test the other rides in the park? And had our Capitol brethren up north begun too? 2
GODZILLA2877 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 ^^^Not just yet, they still have one more spot and a few supports. In matter of fact, they are painting the last part of the track orange. Awesome! 1
diamonbackandbeastlover Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Just wondering have they begun test the other rides in the park? And had our Capitol brethren up north begun too? Drop Tower / Zone was being tested to he other day! 1
thedevariouseffect Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 AE, Slingshot, DT, all visibly moved on the cam, that's all I've noticed 2
Gplez90 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Looks like something else besides dirt and mud has begun to occupy the queue area. 1
TTD-120-420 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Just wondering have they begun test the other rides in the park? And had our Capitol brethren up north begun too? CP has not started testing yet. Raptor just had it's trains put back on today. 5
Kat Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 It looks like they have started on the display sign area by the queue line Image captured from Kings Island live Banshee webcam, which can be found here or here Image courtesy of Kings Island website and can be found here 8
thedevariouseffect Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I'm sure some rides have cycled a few times we just don't see it. You'll see the park wake up for sure at the end of April/Beginning of May..we train for practically a week or more running the ride as an O/C shift to get ready for first riders. Wish that sort of thing happened down here. I got two weeks of running rides and working with the crew, some rides at KI, just a day.. 7
Wingless92 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 The first dive loop is going to be a great spot for pictures! Can't wait to see people screaming like little girls, lol. 6
shawnofthedead Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Testing will probably be hindered yet again today by windy conditions. However, i am really eager to see what the finished station looks like! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Wouldnt a windy day be a great day for testing? That and rain? Perfect example on why I want to wait a bit before I ride any new ride. 3
calakapepe Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I wonder if nets will be installed at the dive-loop 3
thedevariouseffect Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I'm hoping so..someone with a loose article stowed being divebombed straight at the midway or launched at the top of the loop, could be an issue 6
thoe124 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I got to drive (I didn't drive, of course) past KI today and saw Banshee testing! Truly stupendous. Probably sent from my iDevice without Cydia. 4
DaveWorldEmperor Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 The Action Zone is going to be amazing this year! It's going to look completely different! I'm not sure if I'm more excited for Banshee itself or the new atmosphere of the area! 7
calakapepe Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I wonder if Invertigo's "malfunction" got painted.The sign. 11
Diamondback FOF Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Possibly doing some night testing? The station and transfer area are lit up 1
TheBEASTunchained Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Crews are arriving at the Banshee site this morning...... (Image captured from Kings Island's Banshee Construction Cam) 2
Gplez90 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Yea I'm pretty sure they've laid the concrete for the queue. 2

Depends on the ride, some train more before the park opens than others. 1
firehawk fan Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 When it comes to testing the ride. Do they bring in the KI crew that will be running the ride? How does that all work....esp the training on a new coaster! 1
Adventuro Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Rides supervisors work several weeks before, cycling the rides. Then other employees come on specific days closer to the opening of the park. People are trained on the ride they will be working. Rides like Banshee will require training during the whole training period. 4
