HTCO Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Anyone else hear the guy in the video say that 'the roofing shingles and siding of the station will be done by the first week of February'? Or maybe my ears are deciding me… I don't know much about scheduling for such things but it seems like they are way ahead of the ball game. 2
Kat Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Well BY means no later than.... So if it was started tomorrow, technically it would be completed by the first week of February... At least that's my opinion lol I'm betting they start on it next week. 1
Guest KingsIslandPR Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 It's not the parks being the same exactly it's that the content at one is really quite nice. You have to admit the pointcasts are pretty nice to have. The blog is...eh at times. But some good articles do exist. For KI...there's really none of it. Only thing I don't like is the advertising and stuff on Twitter more than other platforms. I see no need to be on any and every platform especially one that uses symbols in place of normal punctuation A lot of content that would go on blogs goes on our Facebook page, in the news section on our website and in our our e-newsletter. We're in the process of incorporating more video updates on our Facebook page and the news section of our website will have accompanying video this summer to go with the article. 13
thedevariouseffect Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Only one word really needed: Sweet! That's what I like about the videos and stuff. It's like I'm there and can see more and talk about more. A picture you only see so much, a status update is only so much. But in that video there was so much to look at and so many facts it was awesome to watch 2
steveinphoenix Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I want to bid on one of the first rider seats. Anyone know how I go about that? 2
mikejenkins1 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 So what happened to the video of the ride cars.?
Kat Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I wonder if they will do first rider tees like they did for Firehawk and Diamondback that would be awesome. 1
thedevariouseffect Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I'd believe so...I would hope you all do, the event has allready raised a lot of good money for these kids to begin with. Were still months away from a media day event and give kids the world 3
Kat Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 So what happened to the video of the ride cars.? Here ya go. 2
Guest KingsIslandPR Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I want to bid on one of the first rider seats. Anyone know how I go about that? Details are available HERE. 3
TTD-120-420 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 "@KingsIslandPR: A look at the construction of Banshee from the backside of the ride. #KingsIsland http://t.co/2KMYqg1muV" ...and what a beautiful backside she has! Joncars05, heading for the exit... Couldn't agree more! I wish I could like this more than once. 7

steveinphoenix Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Thanks Don, I will register for that. 1
Zayzayd13 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I made this recreation of Banshee. I tried to make it as close to the real thing as possible. I hope you guys like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XE0_oVgWJ18 8

I believe he said they (shingles and siding) will arrive by then. not sure though. 1
Stitch Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 As cool as Banshee is, I can't help but be more interested in the construction of wooden coasters. 6
steveinphoenix Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 All coasters are beautiful to me, but I must admit that wooden coasters have certain beauty and jaw dropping "AWE"someness in looking at them under construction and definitely when completed. 3
upstop Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 For me, a coaster design is art. With Banshee it's fluid in its track direction. From the tower view on cam it reminds me of a gymnastic ribbon ballet. Plus the loops appear to be timed equally to give it that dancing motion. I think it will be a sight to see when it is operating. 11

Don, again I must thank you for all the hard work you put forward throughout the seasons, but especially this off-season. Can't wait to see what you have in store! 9
myklhicks Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Looks like they're about to lift a support (maybe. maybe not.) On another note, I woke up to this this morning: (tentative media date) In the words of Bon Jovi: "WOAHHH, WE'RE HALF WAY THERE!" 8
dwainw Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 The support is up! It looks like the track work is all downhill from here. 1
sikkinixx99 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I really hope there is an adjustment to the cam so we can see the rest of the coaster being built Also can anyone tell what that is behind the Sling Shot fence is it just where the dug dirt up its hard to see
myklhicks Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Haven't checked the cam in about an hour, but the minute I did, this is what I saw: 13
sikkinixx99 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Is that two pieces of track?? That's cool two pieces of track and one support in one move that rocks!! 1
Gplez90 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 WEEEEEEEE......TWISTIES!!!!! (Robb Alvey voice) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 8
myklhicks Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Is that two pieces of track?? That's cool two pieces of track and one support in one move that rocks!! It looks like one to me! Because I only see the on spot for it to be bolted onto a support. It could be two! But that's what it looks like to me. 1
sikkinixx99 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 The one piece of track between the two supports didn't have a support for it. and if you look to the right of where it bolts to the support you can see where the two pieces are bolted together just sayin
myklhicks Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 After looking at the rendering, it does look like it might be two. Oops.haha. 1
