The Interpreter
The topic has disappeared. It just took me four minutes to post from an iPhone. Page loading was much improved, until this morning. Now it's slow again, too. Anyone else? There's not much that would cause me to leave here, but inability to post would certainly cause that! malem
It's loading fast enough from here at 6:00am.
Ride On_17
It's been fine for me.
The Interpreter
The last reports were the difficulties are encountered on mobile, and sporadically.
YoungStud
Might want to try a s3 or s4 terp.
thedevariouseffect
It's not the phones it is the server...Dane, any phone application that can be used for debugging purposes to try and show where it's timing out, ect.?
malem
^ I'm not Dane, but yes there are ways to do that. For iOS, you would want to use Web Inspector, connected to your desktop Mac. On Android, there are a multitude of options for Chrome and Firefox, including Firebug, Firebug Lite, and Chrome Inspector. I haven't experienced lagging on any of my Android devices. I don't own any Apple products.

The Interpreter
Might want to try a s3 or s4 terp. I will switch from Apple when Lori Koch buys Great Adventure. And not before.
CP&LERR Fan
It's running fine right now for me, but I did notice I was having problems a couple days ago.
malem
Is this still occurring? Right now, one page just took about 15 seconds to start loading. That's the only time it's happened to me on any device since this topic was created.
milesharrison
[knock on wood] I haven't had any issues recently that I think are caused by the KIC server. Any issues I have had seem to be poor reception in one of the center classrooms of my school that are surrounded by cinder blocks, or the extremely protective filters in place on the school wireless. The Interpreter
It has been far better for me lately, except when posting. Some posts fail, others take 15-20 seconds, some zip right through.
The Interpreter
For the first time in weeks, no server lag while posting on mobile. Wow!

coasterfanatic83
Is there any chance that the lack of speed is a result of your wifi or wireless network? I'm not a tech guru by any means, but couldn't that be a possibility?
The Interpreter
No. I do not have the problem with ANY other site.
The Interpreter
Sigh. It's lagging off and on again tonight. 3G from Verizon on an iPhone at this end. Posting can take 1/10 of a second...or several minutes.

Posting can take 1/10 of a second...or several minutes. No lagging here, on any device. (Albeit, I don't use any Apple devices.) Do you use any other forums with InvisionPowerBoard? If so, do they ever lag? iOS doesn't support persistent http connections, which are often at-fault with random lagging problems on certain corporate networks. This type of issue affecting only one site (and, apparently, only you) is rather odd.
TTD-120-420
I've had it happen to me a few times this week, also.
BB1
It will lag very rarely now in days, but right now everything is good on the BB Tech. I did though experience issues with connection from my skype, but that would probably not be your issue(s).
malem
I've had it happen to me a few times this week, also. Was it on an iDevice? Does it only occur when posting, or can it happen when reading a page? Does it ever fail entirely and go to an error message of some sort?
TTD-120-420
I post from my laptop. It happens when posting, liking a post, and sometimes trying to open topics. It has never gone to a error message. I haven't had it happen for a few days, but I was just confirming what Terp said.
malem
^ Next time it happens on your desktop, fire up Firefox's console (CTRL+SHIFT+K) or Chrome Inspector (CTRL+SHIFT+J) and see what the delay is. If in Firefox, check the status bar at the bottom left or bottom right of the browser. You're looking for network activity. Without experiencing it myself or having any data, I can only speculate. thedevariouseffect
^We're good at speculating though
jcgoble3
Server is very slow for me right now. Takes 20 seconds to register a like and 10 to 15 seconds to load a page on my laptop. Firefox 25 on Windows 8. EDIT: and nearly 30 seconds to post this.
The Interpreter
Yep. Same here. Safari on iPhone with Verizon "extended" data service.
malem
I finally managed to get the site to "lag" for me here, so I can test it. Requests to IPB are taking between 5 and 20 seconds right now. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say there's a OOM condition on the server. Dane?
