September 17, 201312 yr Many like to criticize Six Flags for what they used to be and not what they are today. For those it's a shame, as they are missing out on the some of the best thrill rides and parks in the world.
September 18, 201312 yr Author People on here think its cool to bash six flags and intamin, and a majority has never ridden an intamin coaster or been to a six flags. I highly Agree.

They make some of the best coasters IMO.
September 18, 201312 yr Go work said intamin coasters..That's where I stand with them.. They are great coasters, and they work well, but they are also a pain. Fun rides don't get me wrong, but eh..
September 18, 201312 yr I find it hard to criticize an entire chain of parks or to praise an entire chain of parks. All chains have their strong and weak aspects and some run things better than others. Some chains are more family oriented while others are geared to thrill seekers. We could have this discussion about what if Herschend, Six, Busch, Freestyle Parks, Merlin, and the list goes on. So lets talk about how Freestyle would have sucked the park dry and then gotten the Russians involved or how Herschend would have rethemed the Festhaus in to a Dixie Stampede or finally how Busch would have brought Shamu back to Ohio, because that was such a good idea to begin with. And I could continue...
September 18, 201312 yr One thing I will still forever hate about six flags, just because it causes slow dispatches, looks stupid, and just ridiculous... VISUAL SCAN
September 18, 201312 yr And where did you see this? Some things are not chain wide, but are state or local requirements. At one time, "You are now locked in" was a required announcement in one of the two Carolinas.
September 18, 201312 yr Oh it's not chain wide....it's at SFGA and I have noticed it on a few rides at SFFT...It's ridiculous..nor does it do anything really...
September 18, 201312 yr There are still a number of Six Flags parks that use a variation of the Visual Scan seen at Great Adventure. They just call it the Take 5 at those parks. Six Flags New England, Over Georgia, St. Louis and America have all used those this year on many of their rides. The crew on Prowler at Worlds of Fun even used a variation of this when I was out there a couple of weeks ago. Had me forget I was at a Cedar Fair park for a minute!
September 18, 201312 yr Oh it's not chain wide....it's at SFGA and I have noticed it on a few rides at SFFT...It's ridiculous..nor does it do anything really... What's SFGA? Georgia? (SFOG) Six Flags Great America? (SFGAm) Great Advencha? (Company calls it SFGA, most call it SFGAd)
September 18, 201312 yr SFGAm...You should know what I meant, you're closer to that park and frequent it more than I do..plus that's where that whole policy originated...they look like total loons doing it, I mean look at this, common lol
September 18, 201312 yr fffuuuu the acronyms...thinking Adventure...Tis also another six flags thing I hate...you can't really screw up CP, KI, Cali-Adventure, Knotts, ect...too many SF names...like SFOT, and SFFT. Ah well
September 18, 201312 yr ...you can't really screw up CP, Which do you mean: Camden Park or Cedar Point?
September 18, 201312 yr Obviously Cedar Point when referring to the rest of the chain in the following part of the sentence Good smartass comment though, was pretty good

September 18, 201312 yr Ah...mistake...Cali Great America...never went to the park, probably never will...unless I get stationed out there...
