Our group is doing our annual haunt visit this weekend, and we were thinking about trying The Reds Hall of Fame Grill.

What are the prices like and how is the food? We wanted to try it on our August visit but we had kids with us and they are a bit impatient, so we opted for Festhaus instead.

Their fish and chips was really good. Saw some big portions coming out for all entrees. The wait time for a table was long, so we ate at the bar. Prices are average, liquor prices were same as throughout the park and just a bit pricey. The artifacts are really interesting to view.

Ate there in early August on my only trip there w/o the kids. Both my wife & I enjoyed our meal greatly. Prices compare pretty favorably to prices you'd expect at any sit down chain type restaurant in the area, quality of food compares favorably w/ your typical sit down chain restuarant in the area. Then to top it all off, if your a Reds fan, the decor is outstanding. Overall, they have done an excellant job with the place, we went pretty early (11:30ish) middle of the week on a fairly light day, so I'm not sure what the crowds have been like. My hope is that the restaurant is killing it and leads to the redevlopment of the international street restuarant above the main gates along w/ a main gate renovation.

I thought the pulled pork was very good, as was the Redleg Burger, and the wings, and the ribs, and the chips, and the buffalo dip (I think there is a trend here).

Prices are in the 9-12 dollar range, obviously depending on what you get.

This place has established itself as a staple in my visits and I am very glad they decided to put it in.

I got the boneless wings, order of 12, when I was at the KIC event a couple Sundays back. Had the opportunity to eat here.

The wings were delicious, and the price was on par of a similar establishment outside of the park. I say try it, definitely the best food value in the park!

The service at the bar most of this year was miserable. Especially during the Reds game when they had the beer special. The problem was there was never a full time bartender. They would have to wait on tables, run for food and condiments, cash people out, etc.. Many occasions I would have to wait 15 minutes just to get a drink. It got better toward the end when they added an extra person.

Sounds like that was more of a staffing issue than anything. I know some ranking food peeps and I'll let them know of the issue. They may not be aware.

I think that most can agree that, with the exception of the Opening Day hiccup, the service there is pretty good.
