The Bat flies again at Kings Island

You may also notice when driving on I-71 that our humble little Arrow Suspended Coaster finally pops and is easy to see from the highway.

Visible to all, as the best non-inverting steel coaster at Kings Island should be.

But should IT be visible to all?

:D

EDIT: I agree with The Crypt! :)

Adventure Express and The Bat sometimes flip-flop on my favorite non-inverting steel coasters list.

I'm feeling more batty than adventurous today, so at least for now, The Bat it is for me.

I will admit, TheCrypt's comeback was superb.

We're placing it above Diamondback? That's a mighty bold statement. And that's coming from someone who spent a couple years working it.

For me personally, absolutely, 100% yes.

In fact, Diamondback is my 3rd least favorite coaster in the park, beating out only Backlot Stunt Coaster and Flying Ace Aerial Chase. If it's any consolation, had I ever ridden The Great Pumpkin Coaster, Diamondback would be my 4th least favorite.

As its manufacturer implies with their name, I find Diamondback to be Boring & Mediocre.

-Homestar92, generally a fan of B&M coasters but unimpressed by their Hypers and Wings.

It would be awesome if Kings Island had a Bat cam, its kinda pointless to have Banshee cam one facing were it is.

It is not "pointless" to have Banshee Construction Cam 1 facing the direction that it currently is.

Banshee Construction Cam 1 will be providing great views of Banshee testing once it begins.

Actually, from watching while the park was still open, I never noticed anything moving. I watched and watched for about 2 hours one day, and saw nothing but the shadows move. It was frustrating. (Though, I have no life, since I didn't have a way to get to the park.)

The silhouette of the lift hill and GWL is actually pretty cool. I'm glad they gave The Bat its own webcam. Now I don't have to zoom in on the back of the Banshee cam and squint my eyes to see how much painting they've done! :D

I would like to know if there is any rhyme or reason to the sections of track/supports that they choose to paint. To me, it doesn't seem like there's any.

I'm giving KIC, and Don credit for the move.

Just a friendly reminder, linking to the live webcam means that the image will change with time, and nighttime viewers will be met with a dark photo. Instead, save the photo and upload it to a photo sharing site like imgur.com. That way, the screenshot will be saved in time.
