Oldiesmann
Growler sounds interesting. While I'm sure families will enjoy the Rock N Tug, it seems quite boring once you've ridden Surf Dog. Baby Baron sounds similar to the Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron ride at KI.
IndyGuy4KI
Growler sounds interesting. While I'm sure families will enjoy the Rock N Tug, it seems quite boring once you've ridden Surf Dog. Baby Baron sounds similar to the Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron ride at KI. IB had a Red Barron ride previously that I rode many a times as a kid. It was my favorite of all the kiddie rides they had when I was little. It has been down for quite a while now, so I am guessing it was beyond repair and being replaced. That is just a guess! I find it odd that none of the Indy news channels has ran a story on this. I think Sherry Vogel would have gotten this out to the news outlets if she had not been let go! Here is the the ride lineup! http://indianabeach.com/pages/new-for-2014#funtasticnewattractionsbanner

IndyGuy4KI
Got news of loosing the Galaxi coaster today at Indiana Beach! The park stated on their FB page: After 42 years of operation it will be retired. Fans and thrill-seekers can rest assured that plans are underway for a new thrill coming in 2015. https://www.facebook.com/IndianaBeachAmusementPark Sad news for Galaxi coaster fans! This was my first "big" steel coaster as a kid! Cried before I got on, got off smilling and wanting to ride again!

IndyGuy4KI
That's sad. Galaxi was fun, and I know what memories you have from the ride, Brad. 42 years is a long time for a steel coaster. I am sure it was in need of being retired. Can't be mad at IB for putting safety first, but will be sad to see it go. It is like one one those things you expct to last forever!

IndyGuy4KI
Sources on FB are saying that IB will be opening later than their expected posted calendar stated! I guess someone tried to book accommodations opening weekend and was denied and this is what they got from the park. We are adjusting the calendar to add days and longer operating hours. Reason being due to the terrible winter and having the area school calendars extended. A new and revised operating calendar will be posted soon.
