kiruler102
I am happy to say that since April 18th is on a Friday that I don't have classes (which means that my last day of classes is on Wednesday) so I can come home for Media day and Opening day! My day has been made!!!!
stinky
And, he is neither vegetable nor mineral (though a lot of scientists in the mid-twentieth century delighted in saying the body was worth 98 cents--supposedly the mineral value). Animal he is. Some say that's why Tanna married him! If by animal, you mean slug or turtle. I just kind of meander...
jdf21972
Now that Dinosaurs Alive is included in gold season pass benefits. I will finally get to go see the attraction. Just a rule as I refuse to pay to see any attractions for extra cost. Sent from my iPhone using Taptalk

Especially since there was nothing lost even if it's not your favorite thing to see
Oldschool75
I thought it was stated my Don, that Banshee and The Bat are the only rides to be open on media day!?!
The Interpreter
I don't think it has been confirmed that any rides other than Banshee will be open for Media Day. Details will be confirmed closer to the day of the event.
jcgoble3
^ I know that Don has said that The Bat will be open for Media Day. Beyond that, nothing has been said IIRC. EDIT: I have been informed that The Bat is only a maybe at this time and is not confirmed. I either misinterpreted or misremembered Don's previous comment. BB1
Wait, when did this turn into a Media Day discussion? The two days are totally separate, and for good reason!
jcgoble3
For those that have already viewed my previous post, a correction has been edited into it. Apparently I suck at remembering things.
ohiocolts
I do recall him saying something about The Bat at Media Day in an interview.
KIfan73
April 18th (Friday) will be opening day for Kings Island! Will you be going? https://twitter.com/kingsislandPR I probably won't be because I will be getting to go the 17th! If the timeline is similar to last year, we should be within a few weeks of finding out when Kings Island opens for the season! I am seriously looking forward to Kings Island opening back up, maybe more than ever.
BoddaH1994
Mod Edit: Added the 2014 year to the topic title to avoid confusion with the 2015 Opening Day. The 2015 calendar has not yet been released.

malem
I'll take a stab in the dark and say April 17th will be opening day. 2015's Opening Day will most likely be on a Saturday. Passholders who renewed in the fall will have access to a preview night on the preceding Friday. 2014's calendar was influenced by an abnormally late Easter and by the debut of Banshee. This year's calendar might be different.
BoddaH1994
They should do like Paramount: opening day at the end of March. Battle snow flurries to get there.

The Interpreter
A certain park in New Jersey typically opens two weeks to a month before Kings Island. Richmond, too....

BB1
^I would suggest asking the park by calling them; as this is an enthusiast site and is in no way a park ambassador, nor a park representative.
malem
^^ Admission to the preview night was included as one of the perks for renewing in the fall. Other details, including the exact date and who else can get in, have yet to be announced. If they end up allowing all passholders in that night, I would fear very heavy crowds assuming halfway decent weather. Last season's passholder events were well-attended.
BoddaH1994
They have dropped the Season Pass Preview Night from the marketing materials since the end of the season. All things are possible, but I'd be comfortable guessing that they don't intend to let all season pass holders into the event.
jsus
Hmm, I'll have to ask if other parks' Platinum Passes renewed by the end of post season will be accepted for the preview night. Presumably not.. Oh well.
BoddaH1994
That would be a good question to ask the park 513-754-5700.
