Cedar Point's New All Day Dining Plan

Featured Replies

Cedar Point recently announced a new meal deal for the upcoming season. For $29.99, you can choose an entree and side at the participating food locations in the park, with only a 90 minute wait between meals (not that many people would want to eat meals this frequent, or at least I'd hope so!) I'm not sure if I'd ever take advantage of this deal since if I don't pack food and keep it in the car, then I only eat one full meal in the park during the day, usually accompanied by a snack of some kind, but this could definitely be convenient for some people.

Upon further investigation, the participating restaurants/food stands are Lakeside Express, Pink's, Corral, Coasters, Round-up, Gristmill Refreshments, and Dragon's Inn.

EDIT: Just saw that it was already posted that KI will be getting this too.

And a guest who lives in Akron will likely find out after they travel to the park.

  • So, I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that the All Season Dining Plan was only good until Labor Day. With the fact that this reference has been removed, I take it that it is no longer true. Th

That's a pretty good price for a all day dining pass. I don't think many people eat at the park, like how when I go to Cedar Point or Kings Island. I usually pack a lunch and leave it in the car. Ride as many rides as I can before 12 and 1 PM, head back to the car eat my lunch then head back in the park and eat dinner around 5 to 6 PM at a restaurant. But if you had a family of five It would be cheaper to pack a lunch instead of getting a all day dinning pass.

KI is getting this too? Does it include my normal hotspots of Panda Express, Jukebox Diner, or La Rosa's?

Probably doesn't include restaurants not run by Kings Island i.e. Panda Express and Chic Fil A.

This, for me doesn't seem like a deal unless you are able to retain a TON of food and still safely and considerately ride the rides.

That is a nice lineup of participating restaurants at Cedar Point.

I would say that since Jukebox Diner is similar to Coasters, it will be one of the options at KI.

Just so it's mentioned here as well, sharing "unlimited" food intended for a single person (buffets, meal passes, etc) is not ethical.

Kings Island will escort anyone doing this out of the park, and presumably Cedar Point will extend the same courtesy.

Kings Island's Lineup:

Coney Skyline

Festhaus (No Panda Express)

Hank's Burrito Shack

International Street Skyline

Juke Box Diner

Planet Snoopy Grill

Rivertown Pizza

Street Pizza

What are you looking at differently than I am? When you click the "participating restaurants" link, it just brings you to the entire list of food options at KI. This includes the Reds Grille, Panda, etc which are unlikely to be included.

Either this is the deal of the century or there's a glitch.

Yep. Just noticed that. It makes sense. My browser was formatted so I had to scroll over to see those, which is why I missed them the first time. Hope others don't have the same problem.

Ooh, I like those options. Looks to include a few places I've never eaten at before. I will definitely have to get the meal deal at least once just to sample food around the park. And if I return to Cedar Point, I'll ABSOLUTELY get it, because it means I can get the wonderful Dragon's Inn corn dogs every 90 minutes. I'm a sucker for corn dogs, and those are the best I've ever had.

-homestar92, running to the store to buy corn dogs now.

This will work out perfect for our trip to Cedar Point this summer.

I take it you have yet to have Pronto Pups, those are some excellent corn dogs.

Pronto Pups are far superior to corndogs, in my humble opinion. Pronto Pups have a pancake type batter--corndogs more of a cornmeal/cornbread type.

Sorry for not replying, I went to bed shortly after posting!

I'm actually pretty excited for this line up, as well as Cedar Point's. I'll probably actually eat at locations I've not ate at before. It's almost silly not to get the deal when you purchase 2 meals normally at the park, you have already paid for the all day meal plan and then some!

Price seems a bit high at $29.99... I would think a price around $21 would be good.

edit: At least KI has 10 restaurants on it vs. CP 2...

The CP website does not have any of the walk up locations listed. I would assume some of those will be on the plan.

High? Seriously?

This is pretty much what they are at other parks that offer All Day Dining.

This is more than reasonable.

Try paying $90 for admission, THEN pay $32.99 for All Day Dining?

After thinking on it a while it's not to bad, considering their is 10 different restaurants to choose from (for KI).

Sorry to bump the thread, this was the most relevant I could find. Have a few questions maybe some of you can answer.

How many of you have the season long dining plan? Do you like it? If you have a Platinum Pass can you use it at other parks? What do you think of the worth?

How many of you purchase the all day dining pass? What made you do that vs. season long dining plan (assuming you reading this visits the park at least more than once a season)?

I'm trying to debate what to do since I'll be at the park Saturday-Monday, which plan to purchase. With Coasting For Kids, we have a meal provided on Sunday.

Each park offers its own dining plan. The Platinum Pass doesn't change that. The plan is good only at the park where purchased.

Thanks for that info Terp. I can't justify paying $72 for just KI all season long when I'll be visiting other parks this summer and will be purchasing food there. So maybe I'll just do the all day dining pass for the $29.99 on Saturday/Monday since I'll get food provided on Sunday (one meal). Hmm.

If you plan to dine at least 10 times (2 times on each of 5 visits) at participating locations this season, you will definitely save money with the all-season plan. I have used mine on 6 visits, so it has already saved me money.

If you plan to dine at least 4 times in one day at participating locations, the all-day plan would save you money. I personally can't imagine eating that much participating food, but some people have much bigger appetites than I do. If you want to spend that much on food in one day, my recommendation would be to dine at the Reds Hall of Fame Grille and pay cash for a snack. This would probably be cheaper than the all-day plan and would give you much more flexibility.

Keep in mind that some locations do not accept the dining plans - including Reds Hall of Fame Grille, Subway, Panda Express, and Chick-Fil-A. Also note that gold/platinum passholders save 10% on cash prices at many food/merchandise locations in the park.

As Terp said, the all-season plans are only valid at the park where they are purchased.

I'm honestly torn. My appetite fluctuates severely. Some days I can't have enough food and some days I don't want to even eat. Hah. But I may do the Big Meal on Saturday and get a snack to see how that goes. For Monday depending on how it worked Saturday I may get the all day deal. Thanks for your input!

If your willing to pay $60 on two days of the All Day dining u minus well get the Season Long dining for $12 more. Unless ur not going back to KI this year.

While the all day meal deal sounds nice I'm more inclined for an all you can eat buffet in the parks or running out to the car or hotel for a bite.
