Delirium2018
Ok, so over the weekend I did some work made $70. I was wondering how much does it cost to ride Slingshot? I was going to pay for my brother and I to ride it. How much does it usually cost on opening day?
homestar92
Ok, so over the weekend I did some work made $70. I was wondering how much does it cost to ride Slingshot? I was going to pay for my brother and I to ride it. How much does it usually cost on opening day? I believe the most it can cost is $25 and the least is $5. Rate is adjusted based on how crowded the park is.
TTD-120-420
And those rates are per person.
jcgoble3
Also, the price is typically lowest first thing in the morning and goes up as the day goes on.
homestar92
Also, the price is typically lowest first thing in the morning and goes up as the day goes on. True. I have also never seen the price go down in the middle of an operating day.
Delirium2018
I'll probably ride it after Banshee then.
Sonofbeast2.0
And finally your question wasn't pointless! Unless were talking about a dull pencil... Enjoy your ride, on the fastest ride, in the park! (If you do decide to ride.)
Delirium2018
I will ride it! I must admit I am a little nervous. Only because of the unexpected launch. But I have ridden Top Thrill before so it shouldn't be too bad.
jcgoble3
Be prepared for a possible letdown. I know some people that say it is the scariest ride in the park. I personally find it to be less thrilling than watching paint dry. Your level of thrill may vary.
sheikra_rocks
The best part about it is the take off.
Spectrum91
As others have stated, it's typically cheapest in the morning. You can buy a ticket then, and then come back at any point during the day to ride.
xXDrummerKiDXx
Also, as jcgoble said... Be prepared for a slight let down. I don't think it's worth $25 (I paid $10). It's very fun though. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
APE
Skyscraper at Cedar Point is by far my favorite of the up charge rides. Slingshot is fun for a once in a while thing but I wouldn't pay more than the $5 or $10 price per person.

Thrill_Biscuit
Want a thrill? About halfway up the initial launch, start pondering how reliable steel cables really are. ... it adds a priceless kick of breathless consternation to the initial drop-back. Brought to you by Bone Head... when you just can't help but choose the wrong times to think of such things!
homestar92
Sling Shot is not a ride I'm willing to do. Then again, Drop Tower gives me the jibblies. I've done Drop Tower once just to say I did, and that was quite enough for me. Not a fan of any drop ride beyond 150 feet tall or so. Even the Carowinds Drop Tower filled me with regret halfway up the ride. Though I thoroughly enjoy Liberty Launch, oddly enough. I was not nearly man enough to even consider Power Tower. thedevariouseffect
I'll try the slingshot at CP, the ridiculous height may be fun, plus I have a free pass to try it once so why not. Skyscraper @ CP is AMAZING, just a great ride, especially if you can do 360's or dive bomb head first straight down. Great stuff.

I will second that. I absolutely LOVE Skyscraper. I can't get enough of it.
The Interpreter
Skyscraper is awesome. As for Slingshot, I am glad others enjoy it. I'd rather chase a squirrel. Or walk a cat. Or giggle at a possum.
jdf21972
I would really like to see a POV from the new ride Falcon's Fury. This would take Drop Tower to a whole new level of excitement.
APE
The backward portion of Skyscraper is so so but the going forwards part is some serious business, nothing like diving head first towards the concrete.
thedevariouseffect
You want a fun ride backwards, kick your feet up towards your face and pulse them, keeps you inverted about 3/4 way up and dive bomb head first on the way down before tumbling and going back up.
APE
Will do.
UnrealNightmare
My favorite time to ride Slingshot is during Haunt right before the park closes. With all the fog and how empty the park looks it makes it more thrilling.
