The Interpreter Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I think that I'll keep Fight of Fear. I love that thing to death. Can we do The Vortex for The Bat trade, though? Then we would have a stand-up. I take it you haven't ridden Carowinds' Vortex.
The Interpreter Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 If you had, I doubt you'd be interested in that trade.
Banshee Back VII Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 What is so bad about it? I don't understand all the stand-up hate. I think they are rather cool. The Riddler's Revenge is one of my favorite coasters.
The Interpreter Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 It's an early B&M stand-up. Second only to Iron Wolf (now Apocolypse), it's rough, has terrible transitions and is a head banger deluxe. It has very little in common with Riddler's Revenge. 1
TombRaiderFTW Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I offered that we take Vortex from Carowinds... In all honesty, it's the only B&M stand-up I've genuinely enjoyed. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it, but Georgia Scorcher--typically one of enthusiasts' favorite B&M stand-ups--did little to nothing for me. But hey, I also really like Boss... (Have I mentioned that yet? ) 1
Banshee Back VII Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 I still would like it. Come on. No coaster is bad.
The Interpreter Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 There are bad coasters. Let us start with The Roller Coaster At New York New York Casino. Then, there's Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia. T2 at Kentucky Kingdom, all Zamperla Flyers... 2
Banshee Back VII Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 But still, you would want them in your backyard. There is no such thing as a bad coaster, as long as you don't get injured on it.
thedevariouseffect Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I'll gladly take a BBW clone That could go many ways now after typing this I realize that haha
The Interpreter Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 And no, I wouldn't want ANY coaster in my back yard.
Banshee Back VII Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 I'll gladly take a BBW clone That could go many ways now after typing this I realize that haha What? A BB What now? 1
The Interpreter Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 One word posts violate the Terms of Service...
Banshee Back VII Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 I changed it. And I know you want a coaster in your backyard. I would put Millennium Force there.
fryoj Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I like Mean Streak. Last time I rode it, it felt like someone had taken a jackhammer to my lower spine. 2
Banshee Back VII Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Well the last time I rode it, I was 10. Mean Streak, I mean. (NOT Millennium Forceless) When I ride it, the first drop feels like my spine is compressing, so why is it forceless?
The Interpreter Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Because Bizarro at Six Flags New England it is not. Millennium's fast. It has a beautiful setting (though Bizarro has it beat even there).
thedevariouseffect Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Nothing beats clear moonless calm lake rides in a cool quiet breeze Well except for a cloudless moon lit night that's warm and trimless on Maggie..some of my favorite moments in life were there 1
thedevariouseffect Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 No but lapping Maggie over and over the week of my Birthday running from exit all the way to the train was a fantastic night 1
calakapepe Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Mean Streak.... I rode late may, and I rather enjoyed it. I found it very painful back in 2010, but this year although anticipating some pain.. I really enjoyed the coaster and it was an aggressive fun that didn't make it over to my classification of "too rough"
The Interpreter Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 When did you ride it at 3 am? At 3 AM, of course. Duh. Terp, who said that once already. 5
jcgoble3 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 When did you ride it at 3 am? At 3 AM, of course. Duh. Terp, who said that once already. Day, month, and year? 1
