Current wait times

Featured Replies

Very minimal wait times so far today. We've walked onto Diamondback, Banshee, Backlot Stunt Coaster and The Beast.

Weather forecast probably has something to do with that....

I spent nearly 2 hours in the queue for White Water Canyon. -The exit queue, that is! I had a bunch of extra laundry quarters in my Kings Island fanny pack, and it was weighing down a bit, so I decide

Actually posting here to commend the DB crew which hasn't happened here as of late.

In fairness, the DB crew this season - in general - hasn't been as good as some crews in the past. The seatbelts certainly haven't helped. Having said that...

The DB crew today was absolutely spectacular. Some of the best dispatches I've ever seen on the ride happened tonight. There were several instances where the train was almost to the very top of the lift hill as the train directly ahead of it was coming in to the final brakes. Best DB crew I've seen - by far - this year. If they keep up the good work a lot of the griping about the stacking and longer lines will abate.

Just two more quick notes:

  • Continued kudos to the Banshee crew. They may be consistently the best crew operating any coaster in the country this year. There's a reason that the wait times have been manageable this year on Banshee and it's not because the ride isn't popular. They are terrific.
  • Surprised this hasn't been brought up frequently, but Diamondback is running FANTASTIC this year. The coaster is smooth in all seats this year - even the very back row - with the exception of the bottom of the turnaround. The airtime is there in abundance in all rows. It's running like a top 5 coaster this year.

DB is rough in some seats, however those I attribute to VERY worn wheels. Me & Dane rode together on the CC day. You could even see the wheel bogie moving left and right up the lift hill due to unevenly worn wheels. Some seats yes have been fantastic. DB is much better than what it was last season towards the end, that was a miserable ride, I mean it was actually causing me to be sore.

Walk-on city yesterday, though WindSeeker, Drop Tower, Delirium, Backlot SC, and of course SR&R were all down in the evening when we went. The 1st 2 i assume because of the wind. Good times anyway.

Got back from the park about a half hour ago... I was told Banshee was a half hour/45 minutes (I decided to skip Banshee this trip), Drop Tower had about 5 or 6 queues filled, so I think it was an hour or so (can't quite remember- it was worth it though! :D). Firehawk didn't have an arrow pointing to any specific wait time (arrow was in top right corner), but I probably waited sometime within the 30 min range.

Even though the webcam is sometimes deceiving, Banshee looks like a very short wait right now.

Yay! I don't know if I can get off work early or not. Should be there by six at the latest.

If there is an impromptu meet up, I may have to come over to the park. The wife says I need to get out of the house this week while I still can (next week schools back in session and that means Im back to work).

I'll be free after 3:00pm tomorrow, but it's probably not worth the gas and miles for 5 hours at KI for one person.

If anyone from Columbus wants to carpool to such an impromptu meetup...

You should come Saturday. (Though that may end up involving Fast Lane.)

Yea I saw that it was maybe going to be a Fast Lane day an I can't really afford that. Plus not sure what is happening on Saturday yet

You can still have a great time at Kings Island on a Saturday without Fast Lane. It's not the number or rides you get in one day that matters it's the fun you are having being at Kings Island.

Oh I agree. I meant if everyone is looking at buying a FL pass I wouldn't want to be the one holding the group up.

I have plenty of fun without ride counts. Plus not sure what the wife has planned just yet

^ People without wristbands could still join Fast Lane people for ERT, Flight of Fear, White Water Canyon, The Bat, Soak City, live entertainment, dining, and everything with a short standby line at the time.

Too early to say for sure how long waits will be (so far next to no wait for FoF, BLSC, or Beast- although they were inexplicably assigning seats on Beast anyway) but there are a fair number of people here today.

After seeing DonKIPR during ERT, I get the feeling today is the day for Racer, but that is pure speciation.

I haven't ridden anything for awhile, but the women's restrooms are starting to have lines :/

Edited: about a 15 min wait for each Adventure Express and Racer. Our blue train was held up from dispatch due to a "beaver" on the track, some kids noticed around the corner. He apparently left and they sent us on our way, but I noticed he was actually in the middle of the track now as we rode out of the station. Fortunately, the groundhog was not an idiot and made it under the station before the train got where he had been.

This is also by far the longest line I've seen waiting for the doors to open for Cirque. At 2:30, both sides wrapped around the perimeter of the courtyard and this side along the walkway toward Action Zone nearly to the outside eating area of Festhaus. Plus DonKIPR was down that way photographing the line. The other side is lined up past the front gate lockers.

Ok, 2:45, I think they're waiting to see how long this line can possibly get. Doors still shut.

If they ever open the doors, they say we're all going to sit where they put us rather than picking our own at all. 2:48, announce they'll seat us "as soon as possible". I'm about to walk, this is too long to stand in the bare sun.

2:49 doors open. 2:53 I'm seated. Not where I'd prefer for standing a half hour outside the doors but guess it will do.

Banshee 15 minutes, Racer is about half what it was earlier, so it will probably be less than 10 minutes. Although I've seen him a couple times so far today, no Don by The Racers yet :)

They're delaying opening the doors for the 5 showing of Cirque too, but this time we're being serenaded by the excellent KI Five so I don't mind!

We are towards the back of the line for Cirque Imagine and can hear them. They sound awesome.
