Waited nearly 2 hours for Diamondback, 45 minutes for Banshee, and 20 minutes for Adventure Express. Very crowded today!

I spent nearly 2 hours in the queue for White Water Canyon. -The exit queue, that is! I had a bunch of extra laundry quarters in my Kings Island fanny pack, and it was weighing down a bit, so I decide

Or Terp's a crackpot but we love him anyway. Offer not valid at Kentucky Kingdom.

We were bummed but decided to go home after being there for about 3 hours and only riding WindSeeker twice, Zephyr, and The Bat. I think a few of the wait times were grossly underestimated from the looks of the line.

Also wanted to mention that I told my husband to kick me if I ever consider going to KI on a Saturday night again. The crowd tonight was the most obnoxious and disrespectful bunch I've seen this season. I saw no less than 20 people smoking out of non-designated areas. I had two older teens ran smack dab into me very forcefully and not even a muttered sorry came out of their mouths. Line jumping was terrible. It was seriously like everyone adult in the state dropped their disrespectful kids off at 10am and then just said "see you at midnight". Now, to bed for me, right after I start yelling "get off my lawn". Some days I forget I'm only 31 and shouldn't be so disgruntled with the "youngins".

This is one of the few Saturdays (midnight closings) where there has been great weather all day long.  It makes sense that there were more crowds today than usual.

Idea: KIC now helps the park deal with this lol

Just don't take matters into your own hands.

Vigilante justice can end very badly in the parks.

Contact Security, complain to GR, do not fight back (unless you truly feel your life or others you care abouts' lives are in danger) nor act as Security (unless you are).

Terp, who has lived in Atlanta and DC long enough to adopt the North East mentality, and now understands why (and who is lucky he didn't get his head removed at SFA, Dorney, Astroland (Coney Island of Brooklyn), NJFTP, or even KD (which can attract a very rough crowd) in years past).

I said a few choice words and went on my way. It wasn't one of my finer parenting moments but the one ran into me really hard and I was fuming.

We're going back Wednesday evening where I'm guessing the crowd will be a little different.

Waits aren't bad today, some things packed, especially food and drink stands. Rides are general weekend lines, I expect moat people doing Soak City and other rides currently while its hot outside. Banshee had maybe a 15 minute wait max

This morning's work was cancelled due to some issues. Decided to maybe stop by Kings Island on my way north. One of four cars in the parking lot. May be a good morning all things considered

The park now has a good crowd to it. Took a quick nap in the car. Wokeup to cars all the way to the exit sign. My one hour and its a whole new view

Any wait time updates today?

Here now, waits are anywhere from 10-30 minutes.

Drop Tower looks to be stuck. More updates soon. b41353d23be263368f4481006b8712e7.jpg

EDIT: Its down. Manually lowered.

It's been stuck for at least twenty

Minutes.

At the park right at the tower base, indeed stuck. Maintenance, ride managers, sups, and police all here on scene

Edit: Lowering slowly currently as we speak

They are lowering it slowly now.

Yep, it was lowered manually. We'll know that they intend to keep it closed for tonight if they raise the arm to the top.

It opened back up very shortly after from what I could tell. Getting stuck up there for any amount of time would be my worst nightmare.

I rode it tonight after the incident. I wouldn't mine getting stuck up there, or on any ride for that matter!

I feel like getting stuck on Drop Tower would freak me out more than getting stuck on any coaster.

If I got stuck at the top of Drop Tower, I might die...

...from boredom. :P

WindSeeker and Drop Tower are the only rides that make me nervous/anxious. I am not big on heights and having all that time to think about it and look down would make me a wreck!

I almost considered going in this afternoon given the rain probably kept everyone away, but the fact I still see rain outside my window, I think I'll relax and enjoy a quiet afternoon

White water canyon was only a 5 minute wait. I shot people while the kids rode. Best $5 ever spent! We are heading back for ERT tonight. Even one ride on each will be worth it!
