What a surprise for someone on a vacation!

So my question is, how did they know she was the 100,000,000 rider? And it just happened to be on the Red Train.

She's going to need to take another trip to use her VIP tour tickets. Or sell them on eBay I guess.

It's good that they announced in the station that the milestone was very close, for the sake of anyone not wanting publicity.

I wonder if anyone exited the ride upon hearing that they could be the 100-millionth rider.

Oh maybe if she can't use them and riders number 100,000,001 and 100,000,002 can't go then maybe I'll get the tickets. That's how it works right?

If she does accept them, the tax implications could be...surprising.

Congrats Racer/KI/Angela. My buddy and I took our one chance on Racer today around 6ish (so probably right before you Charlie). At that time, Don and someone else were on the Red train's exit. I think they were hanging out on the Red side because they were chatting with the ride sup.

I'lll bet she was surprised. What a great souvenir!

We were at the gates, ready to load the next train that came in, when Don walked up to her and talked to her on the train... car 1, seat 2. Not too bad, being within 30 people of the landmark. it was cool to see .

1)On what part of the ride does Racer reach nearly 60mph?

2)Where is The Beast at, in regards to rider count?

Based on the Ride Record Book and my calculations...

The Beast will hit ride 50,000,000 soon.

(Starting the season at 48,882,975. Ride needs 1,117,025 riders to hit 50 million. Last year gave 1,533,201 rides. If the exact number of rides are happening this year, that would be ~73% of the way through the season. Maybe next Sunday?)

I think you're being optimistic. If The Beast was that close to a landmark ride you'd better believe that you'd already know and it.

Two years ago there were about 1.13 million rides on The Beast. Going by that number, it would be around the end of the season.

Did The Beast really have a ~30% increase in riders last year??
