Worst Rides to "Pop The Question" On

Featured Replies

I don't understand why Racer is on this list, they never really gave a good reason why.

I think Adventure Express would be a good one though, I mean that last lift hill is kinda like engagement & marriage: the build up to the marriage makes it seem totally awesome and the beginning of the ride of your life only to be let down in the end. :)

Come on. I would totally propose in the front seat of Top Thrill Dragster. Propose on the launch, getting her shocked face in the first photo (after all, you may have discussed marriage, but she won't expect you to propose there of all places), then if all goes well get the "yes" on the way up the hill, put the ring (tied to a belt loop, of course, so it can't fly away) on at the top, and kiss for the second photo. Then buy the photo. :)

I proposed to my beautiful fiance when I was down at Disney World last May. I didn`t pop the question at the park, but rather when we were back at our hotel going for a nice romantic walk.

I think it would be a little odd and not very romantic to pop the question on an actual ride.

The majority of people would not appreciate a gesture such as this. Those that would probably wouldn't care which ride it was on.

-Edit-

Went back and started reading the article and my first sentence is basically a disclaimer in the first paragraph.

It's all just for jokes, people. Punch lines. Funny. ;) Haha

For some reason, this article convinces me that the next time I get married, I need to choose one of these rides to do it on!

I would think that The Beast would be another attraction located at Kings Island that one would not pop the question on.

^ If she said no, that could certainly be an awkward 5 minutes.

Le first drop

(man)Hey would you huhuhuhuhuhuuhuhuhuhuhuh ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow.........

Le second chain link up:

(Woman) now what were you saying?

(man) I know we've been together for a long time and I have finally found that, well, would you (que the helices) ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow.......

Le brake run after stop:

(man) I give up!

If you're going to pop the question at an amusement park, go big. Do a flash mob when you get back to the station. Of course if she (or he) says no, it will be awkward, but chances are you won't know most of the crowd.

I would think popping the question would REALLY be difficult on Firehawk.

Now, as far as "other" things popping, I've heard of this happening on Viking Fury and Diamondback (but I don't think those were necessarily marriage proposals!)

What could be worse than Proposing on Top Thrill Dragster?? The "Honeymoon".... talk about something that you shouldnt do in less than 30 seconds!!

Yes, but after you ask, she says yes, and it's all downhill and twisty after that!

You have a Mean Streak in you?

Possibly Invertigo as well, or Delirium?

If I had a ride to choose to propose on it would be SoB. Even if I knew the outcome of the ride. Now just hear me out!

At the top of the hill right before the drop, I would say "will you marry me"? Hopefully the answer would be yes. Then after the ride give the ring and enjoy the rest of the day at the park, then later on (not the same day of course) get married. Now SoB can symbolize a marriage in many ways... First: it is a strong powerful thing. Some days will speed by, some will be slow, some days might be plan out rough. Over time that marriage might begin to bow and give way a little (2006 incident). Sure no one wants that to happen but it might and it can! After that you might fix things and everything will be okay for a while. Things might heat up again... it might start crumbling away worse than it did before (mid 2009-mid 2012). You look at ways and outcomes to fix it but the end result is clear, Something is got to change... Maybe you spend some time apart for a while or you try and settle things down between you two for a while. And it works. You slowly, start rebuilding your relationship with the person you love and this time it is a lot stronger. Knowing everything about one another always telling the truth, a relationship strong as steel. But that doesn't mean life isn't going to threw you for a few loops over the years... But always in the end, everything evens out and you make each other smile and laugh threw all the good and the bad times, you have had together.

I hope this makes as much sense, as it did in my mind...

No apologies necessary. It's a humor piece. Each entry is for fun and cites a joke-y reason ("stress and duress" verbal contract on Top Thrill Dragster, murderous bride on Haunted Mansion, unlucky Thirteen, etc). It's not meant to be taken as a literal list. It's just for fun. ;)
