Hersheypark 2015: LAFF TRAKK (New Coaster)

Recommended Posts

Press release says, in part that the ride includes "an Immelmann turn where riders enter a half loop and then go through a half twist and curve out in the opposite direction in which they came."

Huh... I'm guessing they don't mean an inversion.

Those colors are in the clown Haunt, of course they can get the colors right.

It looks great, it's an answer to the problem with funhouses, walkthroughs can be dangerous to fools.

I'd like to ride this, but the spinning would stop my husband dead in his trakks.

I guess I mean I hope it looks better than the artwork, theming and coloring in Boo Blasters. Frankly, that kind of sucks...

Yeh, the motif is kind of hokey/kiddie, but it could be in the kids' section of the park; maybe they wanted to play it safe. Old funhouses had devils, clowns, drunks, skeletons, and risque ladies, I don't know if the park can get by with burlesque humor today.

Fun houses and dark rides are my favorite rides of all time. I hit carnivals and fairs to experience a new one. I will stop on a dime while traveling if I see a 'pop-up' carnival with one...(you don't see them much anymore). Those small carnivals I mean...

Probably the regulations ...if any, and depending on the state. Kind of sad.

What has the world come to if you can't risk death at a parking lot carnival? And spend 4 dollars a ride for the pleasure? Or even win an already dead goldfish at the fish bowl game? Or get cussed at by a carney?

Carny? I forget. Probably 'Carnival Attendant' this day and age.

Or day in age? Starting to confuse myself now come to think of it...

Figured you would know the details there Terp...I almost asked for you...but figured you would see this at some point. Besides...no one wants to put you at Genie status I suppose.

More carefully...I should have said I don't see them in Ohio anymore. Nor would I know why as I wipe away a Hollywood tear.

I saw a giant strawberry twirly ride tooling down the highway a few years ago on the back of truck.

Also, the beautiful mini-hamlet of Miamisburg has the Spring Fling and the... one in autumn? I guess the Fall Pall? on the grounds of the town's library.

It has carnival rides.

The Miamisburg library grounds is also reported to be haunted.

I've been watching "Parks and Recreation".
