The Interpreter
State minimum insurance provider? Cedar Point? Ticket giveaways? It's gonna get interesting.
BB1
SIX times have I craved for a Snickers Bar during Halloween,(Curse you evil spell check on my phone!) so let's see how this plays out.... Cool stuff BoddaH, I wouldn't be suprised to see SafeAuto ads on FUN TV.
Ride On_17
^I already have.
The Interpreter
Halloween is a proper noun for a proper holiday. As such, it is always CAPITALIZED here, and at SIX and now at some FUN parks. Why not chainwide? SafeAuto is only licensed to do business in some states. You can buy a Snickers bar in any, though.
jcgoble3
I wouldn't be suprised to see SAFE AUTO ads on FUN TV. The article clearly states, "At each park SafeAuto will have advertising opportunities [...] on televisions placed in queue lines for Halloween Haunt and HalloWeekends rides and attractions." That sure sounds like FUNtv to me.
BB1
No I mean full out SafeAuto advertising. "Like the ones on TV!"
Ride On_17
Yep, last weekend at CP there was a SafeAuto commercial on FUNtv.
jcgoble3
And that's what I mean. There's nothing stopping them from putting full-fledged commercials on FUNtv. My mind may be playing tricks on me, but IIRC I've already seen at least one full-length commercial for another company on FUNtv.
The Interpreter
SafeAuto is a registered trademark. It is one word, and styled as it appears here...
NoChickens
The commercials on FUNtv don't really annoy me. Vinyl wrapped coaster trains on the other hand. KIA, really?
The Interpreter
Stay tuned... Coasters have cars. Cars that can be covered by insurance...
NoChickens
Well, it didn't keep me off El Toro, obviously, but it was an annoyance none the less, lol. In fact I rode it multiple times, and I guess the fact I noticed proves something.
Dieseltech20
Wow. I have almost completely stopped watching TV due to the constant bombardment of commercials. Now I cannot even escape them at an Amusement Park?
bkroz
Okay. Ready for the most brilliant idea ever imagined? Backlot Stunt Coaster - Presented by SafeAuto. A new billboard wrap: OR On-board sound system brought back to life to play the SafeAuto jingle on loop throughout the ride. (Can someone edit up a video overlaying this song over the ride experience?) And the disembarking spiel: "Annnnd cut! Great job, stunt team! Your wild driving still qualifies you for SafeAuto's state minimum coverage. Exit to the left, and remember to Play It Safe - SafeAuto."

Dieseltech20
That would insure that I would never ride it again.
jcgoble3
That would insure that I would never ride it again. Intentionally misspelled, or Freudian slip? Either way,
The Interpreter
There was once a Pepsi Python at Coney Island of Ohio.... Terp, notin'
BB1
Could i drink a Pepsi on it too? "Welcome back riders how was your ride?!.....Excellent! Please stand up, grab an insurance quote and exit out to your right! Have a great day here at SafeAuto's Kings Island!"
bkroz
They should put a Progressive Snapshot device in the Backlot Stunt Coaster cars and then allow visitors to see how their insurance rate changes as the Snapshot device sends the car's data to Progressive. Could be a fun stunt to market how "wild" the ride is. Not nearly as edgy as bleeding midgets but...

Hoeter
Also worth noting is that Fast Lane, Fast Lane Plus, and Haunt offering Fright Lane is now sponsored as well, by McCluskey Automotive. "Lower Prices, Lower Rates!" I could imagine a spiel if SafeAuto were to sponsor a ride at Kings Island. "Welcome back riders, how was your ride?!?!" "As soon as the train comes to a complete stop. Push down, pull up on your lapbar, exit to your left, grab your Declarations Page, and enjoy the rest of your day at Kings Island!" If you want Fast Lane, be prepared to pay the Deductible, and I wonder what the Replacement Cost will be? Andrew, he who works in Insurance... silver2005
There were several other rides sponsored over the years. The ones that come to mind are Gillette sponsoring Top Gun/Flight Deck, Huntington Bank with White Water Canyon, and I think Kodak sponsored the Eiffel Tower for a while.
