High winds

Featured Replies

I tried to search if any of the rides besides WindSeeker close for high winds and there were no results. I'm a Cedar Point local and i know how easily all of the rides there shut down for winds. Its supposed to be very windy and cold Saturday so i think it is a recipe for no lines. Any high wind experiences at KI?

They had several high rides close due to wind a few weeks ago. Tower was in slow mode too. I think the cutoff for some of the bigger rides is 35 mph.

I'm going Saturday too this would be helpful

It depends.

What will be open will be. What isn't, won't.

That's the way it is.

And over the course of the day even that may change.

Most rides will operate if high winds are present. Although most rides over 140 ft. need to be shut down if wind speeds exceed 40MPH for safety. Some exclusions due apply.

This just in from Don on Facebook.

GUEST ADVISORY: Due to inclement weather some rides and the outdoor mazes will not be open tonight during Halloween Haunt.

I believe it was a combination of the cold temperatures and the wind.

There wasn't really enough snow, as far as I'm aware, that would've had much of an impact on the decision.
