PKI_Buddy
Ok, so I went around 12 o clock to the park.......Fearfest should not open at three o clock, Enough said. Ill will review my expierince at every house, i went to them all. Circus of Horrors. Pretty good, The Ushers hear were lvery rude and not helpful, The clown at the begining was rather creepy......I wish it had something mroe to it tho, the music wasnt the same as lst year and it just seemed missing something. Curse of the Crypt Why didnt they change the name. The Vampires would be cool, if tehy werent all supposed to be tom cruise interview with the vampire doubles. not to scary, The tunnel effect was great, are those real? I kinda wish there was more than jsut the typical lets jump out around this corner. Dude the old usher is too happy. Maze of Madness Crap total useless crap. I know you can do better, two years ago this was the best attraction. Why the ushers dont help out once in while i dont know. Psycho Path Pretty good, I wish it was new from last year. I didnt at all expect the ending.....not. The ushers were good on keeping smokers down to a minimum, but line jumping was horrendous Elviras Superstition Why in the world do we even still have this. It seems to be the stuff we show on Mystery Science theater. Route 666 This was impressive actaully. I loved the fact that the usher here scard the wits outta me, and still did his job. kudos to that kid, the ride ops should be made up, or something, the effects were nice and it was well executed. Creepers or whatever besides teh tall one with the beard, they are crap, im sorry but they are very lame this year. I liked the usher more...lol. Thats about it. Return_of_Yogi
After re reading hat, he seems to comlpiment the ushers alot! ......the one at route 666 would rather be a performer.....o well.
SML828
I guess i was focusing more on the Circus of Horrors comment...Guess I have tunnel vision and am kinda sensitive about Usher comments! I'm sure you understand Yogi!
DragonLord
A few things... the usher at Rt. 666 scared me when I was working. Go figure, I should have seen it coming! Smoking in line is prohibited as long as they are not in a que house (such as Rt. 666) or in the house or path or ride or whatever the case may be. That is my understanding at least... then again, I only worked one fearfest shift this year and I didn't work any of them last year. Smoking is allowed in the Scooby line but they have to put them out before they get on the bridge, so I would assume the same for the houses. Some of the parents were laughing at the fact that we only recommend it for 12 years old an up... we really do need to make something very scary for the adults. BTW, yes, they are real... you know what I'm talking about! The Crypt, the tunnel you crawl through... yeah, they are very real! I have one suggestion... I think they need to put something up in the tower's 50 foot deck. Have strobes set up and things up there moving, like on a track, to make it look like people are dancing or being chanced by a mad man with an axe... have screams and stuff.... maybe even a "body" or two handing from the tower or something. Oh, I miss the tower lighting up all the way... didn't they have the entire tower lit last year in purple and green and black lights? TheRickster
They need to put a haunted house up there......
AZ Kinda Guy
FearFest's first year of operation did have a haunted attraction up on the high level of the Eiffel Tower. The name ecscapes me right now but it was the best attraction they had that season IMHO. If I'm not mistaken, it was themed after a insane asylum that was overrun by the crazy inmates. It was really cool being that high up and getting the crap scared out of you. It only lasted one season however. A logical guess would conclude that it didn't come back due to capacity reasons. I don't know if you were there to see it last year or not, but they had eerie lights up in the Eiffel Tower with white sheets covering the observation deck.. it was awsome. And yes, they covered it in black lights last year too. I think it looked better last year.
Return_of_Yogi
Heck yeah those are real. I can vouch for the clown house ushers.......(SML they are the escorts) they are still getting the hang of it. I Think , if there is Fearfest Next year, it better be amazing. New houses, new storys the whole bit.

SOB_TOM
I heard that PKI wanted to put a plexiglass floor on where one of the tiles is on tower, but it was deemed "too scary". The Fearfest that tower was a house was I believe 3 years ago. The reason I recall this is because I wasnt working at the park yet, and we were talking about possibilities for Fearfest on tower my first year. We was bored. SML828
This is the 4th FearFest - I worked the first 3... The first year - there was a 'house' at the top of the tower called "Tower Of Terror" if remember correctly - actually I don't think that's right (Shman might remember - I think he was around then)...there was also one at the bottom of the towere called "The Freezer" - "The Crypt" was actually called "Mummy's Revenge" the first year and it was in the former Enchanted Theatre in Hanna-Barbera. There was a short movie at Paramount Theatre (Freak Show) - I HATED that movie! They also had "The Sewer" where "Circus" is now...plus Studio 50 Gore in the other half of Festhaus. We also had "House Of Darkness" and "Trail of Terror" (which is now "Psycho Path") - don't think "Maze of Madness was around yet. I'm glad they changed things after that and condensed everything to one side of the park - made everything A LOT easier!
teenageninja
House of Darkness was the second year. Trail of Terror started last year. Maze of Madness also began the second year. The Freezer and Pirate Jack were 2 of the houses that didn't return (2 of the best also) and I say instead of the HORRID Maze of Madness they have The Freezer, because it was much better. SML828
Trail of Terror was there in 2001 and renamed to Psycho Path in 2002 - Maybe 2001 was the first year for that...I TOTALLY forgot about Pirate Jack (in Paramount Theatre) - I even worked at it! Duh!? I guess the years just start blending together!? Pirate Jack was a REALLY cool house too! I worked The Freezer and it always had a long line - but I never got inside - I always heard it was the best - I also never got to go in the one at the top of the tower. I'm SO glad they aren't doing Celebrity Slaughter this year - that was one of the dumbest shows I have ever worked/seen! However, it always pulled in a crowd...
