beastdude
I feel very ashamed to ask this but how do you snap on eagles. It was my first time to PKI last year and I onle got to ride eagles once.
Dane
It just can't be told over some internet forums. To learn, you have to go on full weekend retreat. Price is 300 dollers with food and lodge provided. Our campus is housed behind the dumpsters at Showcase Cinama. Please register 2 weeks in advance as space is limited. DeliriumDreamer
I don't do it very well, because I get scared after a while, but you lean the car to a hard right, then switch, until you almost stop while the ride is going, and then it snaps, and you feel a burst of speed and wind in your face, and the longer you do it, the faster it will go(or so it seems). coasterdime
Sorry I didn't see this topic, or I would have replied much sooner! The Eagles are actually my favorite ride at PKI. Do what SoBrider suggests, and get back there at opening. The ride is much more fun with people who know how to snap. (well) I'll be there tomorrow morning, look for a guy with dark, spiked hair. I'd be glad to show you. Also, the last hour of each day, the ride is taken over by a few park regulars. My only advice is this: When you do get a snapping addiction, beware of the riders around you. I've been confronted and theatened by other guests about 6 times in the past year. I've talked to a few other regulars, and they've had the same experience. PKI's flyers are rather easy to snap, and when you get it, you'll love it.
coasterbilly
i honestly don't trust that ride too much. I was snapping some pictures of Vortex last season and i turned around and this really big guy snapped it and he nicked a tree. Seeing that, not really huge on riding that. teenageninja
I myself am not too great at snapping, but I am getting better. It just takes practice and some paying attention. It's a little experimentation to it too.
coasterdime
It's a little experimentation to it too. Yep, it took me a little while of trial and error until I found a style that works for me. Everyone has a slightly different method. For me, I straighten out my "rudder"...just as I bottom out. This makes incredible noise, and sends me flying back up. Good stuff. DeliriumDreamer
I never knew snapping was almost a sport, until I joined pki as an employee. In that case, I better go ride them a little bit more. I scared the heck out of my 7-year-old and 4-year old sisters. Snapping comes purely by accident to me. Now I'm going to do it purposely. (sorry I'm not there today, I had a very bad fever last night, so my parents won't let me do my opening shift this morning), but I'll be there tomarrow. beastdude
I have another question. Do the ride ops get mad when you snap.
Dane
Nope. Most of them snap aswell.
coasterdime
By the way, The Beast/Eagles crew was outstanding this weekend. I really think this is the best (Beast/Eagles) crew in recent memory, and it's still April! I managed 40 rides on the Eagles this weekend, and each was perfect. A few newer faces this weekend...Andrew, Ricky...and even Josh {a few names I can't remember} were really great. They were good enough for a group of us to stop by GR...both nights. My back hurts a little now.

TopThrillDragster
Yeah this is Brandon From Beast/Scooters thanks for the GR's that really means a lot to us. I really like my crew and I think we are doing a great job and a great job of making people happy!
StXBomber
Here comes a third Beast/Eagles ride op to say thanks for the good GR's. Most guests do not know about guest relations and how much it meant to get a good GR (I didn't before I was a ride op).

0-120
I love watching people just making the rudder go back and forth really fast and nothing really happens. Always good for a laugh.
