The Interpreter
Inevitable is change let's just hope they keep their great Pumpkin pies. Keep the company built for future dining patrons maybe bring back some car hops to evoke yesteryear. Let's all hope for the future of Frischs Big Boy. Don't kid yourself. Private equity firms buy distressed companies at low prices, fix them up--often with budget cuts and hacks, then sell them for huge profits. Example? What great things has Blackstone done for SeaWorld Entertainment?
westcoaster
Still shocked the company sold out and suprising how little the company owned. It would be nice to think the company would not change to drastically. Let's also see what two locations the founding family kept. Also what will happen to the irrevocable rights to use big boy. Frankly besides Bob's the original in Burbank the rest of Big Boys companies have or are closing. There is lot at stake with this sell. Will Frischs finally be dethroned as the Pumpkin Pie Leader ? Will they become more fast casual order food delivered? Will Frischs survive and will Big boy still be part of it? Lots of questions for a company just given and afforded the opportunity to buy out all Big Boys. I guess let's not get our hopes up but also things close restaurants move on Frischs has had an incredible run. Let's just hope the tartar sauce survives. To Frischs keeping it going this long.
Radersto
for the knowledge Frisch's Acquired by NRD Capital an equity firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. in 2001, Frisch's became the sole owners of the Big Boy trademark in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee, and is no longer affiliated with Big Boy Restaurant Group. I Honestly don't want to rave about anything, everybody has an opinion Frisch's is and always will be in my favorite restaurants list. if you had your doubts just have a look at the frischs menu with prices
