Good for a laugh or two...

I missed the laughs.

A. It's a Tom Jackson piece.

B. This just leaves me very, very sad.

I'm not familiar enough with the Sandusky paper to know exactly what's to be expected from various writers...

 

This is one part I found funny...

 

The last part of the book is a bit sad, as Kinzel's last few years at the helm were tough, and he hasn't particularly enjoyed retirement. A volunteer group such as SCORE would certainly benefit from Kinzel's brilliance.

 

SCORE is apparently a charitable group that "provides business mentoring services to entrepreneurs" according to Wikipedia. I'm not sure his "brilliance" would be appreciated by them or the businesses they serve.

Right. That's why I said the article was good for a laugh or two. I know CP is probably the biggest attraction in Sandusky, but still. And papers wonder why people don't want to subscribe anymore. The Cincinnati paper even resorted to having a deal on Groupon recently (discounted digital subscription with optional physical Sunday paper).

so a second giga-coaster for Cedar Point was in the works but they went with Gatekeeper. I would have never seen that coming.

Nor could Ouimet clearly.

If someone actually buys this book, I would be interested to know what Kinzel's side of the Appolo story actually is. I can't begin to imagine what a person could say to try to justify that criminal behavior.

I got a signed copy as an early Christmas gift. I'm going to read it on the plane on Thursday.

From what I have heard, that will take up about 20 minutes. Way shorter than a New Yorker magazine article....

So I'll have a time for a decent nap, too.

   Is there a chapter titled "people gotta eat"?  I'd buy it if there was.

I got through about 40 pages before it became too dark on the plane to read. There are some interesting parts. I think it's worth a buy.

I was always a fan of Don Miears, he always treated me very well.

This book sounds like an interesting read. And calling Gatekeeper Gateway? C'mon now... (Though TB's picture is pretty awesome- Gatekeeper, sponsered by Gateway)
