I did just call Dollywood 1865-428-9488 option 1 then option 3 They confirmed that Passholder Day is March 18th from 10-6.

marth555 actually posted it here first. Though Oldiesmann posting it in a new thread where it will be seen by more people is also a good thing.

In my defense, I was sleepy. :P

Tomorrow is the final day to register that guarantees you an event T-shirt(at no extra cost)

Bumping, as today is the registration deadline.

As for me, I'm still not sure whether I'll be able to make it (but planning to know very soon). A number of people from this site are going.

Seems that some people are a little worried about Lightning Rod making it to opening day :o

Hoping everyone wont have to exclude that portion of the event! It's kind of a large part of it!

^ ScreamScape isn't always a reliable source.

In the (seemingly unlikely) event of a delay, it would certainly be disappointing, but those attending this might enjoy lighter crowds with alternative ERT - and have a reason to stop by again later in the year.

Oh, you mean "Amusement Park Wiki"?  On the L.R. front, that possibility...combined with the disaster (literally and figuratively) on I75.... both contributed to my Wife and I scrubbing the plans for that weekend.

Hopefully it will be ready to roll.  I believe I heard somewhere that Dollywood has not been late opening a new ride.  But that just means there is always time for a first...

My wife and I will be there on opening day, and will be in attendance at the event.

I understand folks worry on Lightning Rod not being open on time. It's the huge draw. But, the park has to do what they have to do to get it open. If it doesn't open on time, I'm sure the park will make up for it for the Coaster Crew event. They aren't the type of park to say, sorry....you're out of luck.

Keep your eyes open and watch for updates.

I have heard rumblings of the testing process is happening, but nothing official. So hopefully the rumblings are correct.

Yes! I have seen an unofficial picture of at least one train on the final brake run.. they could've backed it up to be there.. buut.. I have a feeling it was moving forward. That's why I think the rumblings are happening.. or people are just leaking word of mouth.

I've seen other unofficial pictures and talk but since it's unofficial I won't share since the park has asked Coaster Crew not to share any official information about the ride until they do.

Im sure it would still be a fun event but no Lightning Rod would be a bummer imo

The event will be fun no matter what! :)

Dollywood is a great park. I had a blast last year at the park by myself (my family was there but they don't do rides). Just being in the park, experiencing it was way fun!

Where can we find the unofficial pictures?

I unfortunately cannot share due to 2 factors, one, I have been asked not to and two, the source has taken them down.

They're pretty easy to search for on a certain media site. They have text that accurately describes them.. recently uploaded.

(Probably not the ones that he saw.. but the ones that I saw, that i pressume shouldnt have been posted)

I ended up getting a Season Pass.. Im very tempted to drive down for the 18th.. ouuu.. I'm already booked for wedding details on the 19th..

I can process that day right? (Ill look it up)

Now that we know Lightning Rod has tested today, is 10 days enough days to get a clear for public boarding?

You can process on the 18th. I'm planning on doing it.

10 Days? Yes. The certification process in Tennessee is not what it is in Ohio or New Jersey.

From my understanding from a park employee, they have to run the ride a good few hundred times and as long as everything works properly, is safe, they get the sticker.

Ohio is a piece of cake compared to New Jersey or California. That's one reason Worlds of Fun got a ride from the latter...

Sounds like you're saying Worlds of Fun is in Ohio instead of Missouri, like it actually is[emoji14]

Screamscape is reporting that Lightning Rod will not be running on opening day. Anyone seeing anything else about it one way or the other?
