silver2005
Are we just abandoning the blueprints and the size of the construction site and just making up stats? Those lateral supports are gonna support a hyper sized woodie or hybrid that'll be super steep? Where are the lateral supports for all these inversions you guys are speculating on? What kind of inversions? Dream on. Also, I thought GavPenn had all the answers to the layout and such. Why is he 'guessing'? Also, some of you need to seriously calm down.
CP Maverick
But Cedar Fair removed the racing coaster at my park. So I certainly wouldn't put it past them.... Cedar Fair removed the entire park from my park... But that's a story for another time... Since I missed the numbers game, here's my entry: 3250ft / 165ft Maverick44, define "popular" because Magnum, Gemini, Raptor, and Gatekeeper are huge people movers every season. Maverick and Dragster barely fit in the top 10 in ridership. And no, CF is not purchasing the lumber locally. Yes, they will be adding to the area, more than just the new ride. What else did I miss? Are you kidding. Maverick is top 6 in ridership. Show me your facts sir. Maverick may have the longest lines of any ride at that park. First, let's look at the top 10 coasters: 1 Gatekeeper 1,898,204 2 Millennium Force 1,721,918 3 Raptor 1,414,447 4 Magnum XL-200 1,355,861 5 Gemini 1,298,304 6 Maverick 1,153,896 7 Iron Dragon 1,092,242 8 Top Thrill Dragster 1,077,885 9 Mantis 925,667 10 Wicked Twister 794,264 That is from Cedar Point itself. I am aware of the numbers, which is where my statement came from. Maverick has one of the slowest lines in the park, that doesn't equate to more popularity. Millennium Force is probably the most "reliable" ride Intamin has made, and that thing snapped the lift cable in less than 2 seasons. If it didn't run 36 people per train, that line would be barely faster than Maverick's. The B&M rides are, undoubtedly, more popular when it comes to ridership. They just make quick work of crowds so the lines don't ever get as long.

GavPenn
I'm subtracting speed to compensate for the barrel roll in the first drop, the top gun stall, and the potential other inversions.

Logan Goddard
With how tall and fast you guys are predicting, I think quite a few people will be dissapointed. I can't see them fitting anything close to a hyper woodie in that space, and the plans do not have enough supports for anything that large. I think the tallest this thing goes is 140ft, but it is more likely to be 100-120 and even that is tall for a real wooden coaster. As for speed, I can't see it going faster then 65mph and that is still flying for a woodie. And last but not least the hype, KI has no wooden coasters built in the 2000's still operating OF COURSE it is going to be hyped up. I'm not ruling out RMC or GG, but I think people are projecting what they want over what is realistic.

Maverick44
No one knows anything. So that's the whole point of this forum. Let them guess. I mean at this point anything is possible. Shawn Meyer
Whatever this wooden roller coaster is, I think this will have a curving drop similar to Legend at Holiday World. I think the station will be behind that scenic train stop. I hope everyone knows what I'm talking about with that. And knowing Cedar Fair, they'll introduce something new that we haven't seen on a wooden roller-coaster. This is strictly just my opinion here.

Oldschool75
That's an awful lot of Pyro-Guard Exterior Fire-X by Hoover Whatever that is. (The unused station seems to have found new use) It definitely has to be an RMC, how many have caught fire during construction? Maybe they are preparing.
